Purple Land Management, Esri Partner to Create Data Management Platform for Energy Industry

North American Pipelines Business BreifsPurple Land Management, a full-service land management firm headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, and Esri, the worldwide leader in geographical information systems (GIS), are working together to create a groundbreaking data management platform for the oil and gas industry.

Overdrive was initially created to help eliminate redundancies and bring efficiency to land management but since partnering with Esri, Purple Land Management has created a robust data and communication management platform that is seamless, secure and user-friendly. The platform represents land data in real time for complete transparency throughout the land leasing process.

“Overdrive is built from the ground up from a landman’s perspective, with the operator’s end result as the goal line,” said Jesse Hejny, president of Purple Land Management. “We wanted to create a new process to improve how data is managed, analyzed and interpreted, so we partnered with Esri to use advancements in technology offered by Esri’s ArcGIS Platform to build a safer and more adaptable software for employees and clients. Overdrive is the missing link to making better decisions at every level, in any discipline.”

Overdrive will let people do everything from managing and monitoring to integrating their data at any time from anywhere. Functions include customer relationship management applications, invoice management, and employee time and labor tracking. Overdrive not only increases security but also improves vendor relations and management between the client and employee. Future add-ons will include the integration of accounting, engineering and geology functions as well as a mobile application for IOS and Android.

“Purple Land Management has created an innovative product that will meet critical needs in the energy market,” said Bryan Long, account executive at Esri. “Purple Land Management’s strategically designed land management platform provides multiple versions of the most up-to-date land data, from leasing maps to midstream product data, to ensure the most accurate information for any client or employee.”
