North American Pipeline Project Roundup: September/October 2021

The Pipeline Project Roundup is a monthly feature that summarizes the contracts awarded for pipeline projects in North America. The following oil and gas pipeline projects have been announced. Projects are in order of most recent approximate starting date. All projects are for 2021 unless noted.

Letourneau Enterprises LLC was awarded a contract by MPG Pipeline Contractors Inc. for the clearing, grubbing and matting of approximately 53.56 miles of 16-in. pipeline right-of-way in Choctaw and Washington counties, Alabama. Headquarters is Toxey, Alabama. The superintendent is Jason Mack. Approximate start date: Sept. 6.

Snelson Cos. Inc. was awarded a contract by Kern River Gas to replace approximately 3.45 miles of 36-in. pipeline, one horizontal directional drill and one valve replacement in Utah County, Utah. Headquarters is Saratoga Springs, Utah. The superintendent is Mike Ford. Approximate start date: Aug. 12.

Pe Ben USA Inc. was awarded a contract by Berg Pipe for the loading and hauling of approximately 6.59 miles of 30-in. pipe in Alachua County, Florida. Headquarters is Hawthorne, Florida. The superintendent is to be determined. Approximate start date: Aug. 8.

Dun Transportation & Stringing Inc. was awarded a contract by Troy Construction to haul and string approximately 23 miles of 36-in. pipeline in Refugio County, Texas. Headquarters is the pipe yard. The superintendent is Greg Norman. Approximate start date: Aug. 2.

Henkels & McCoy Inc. was awarded a contract by Duke Energy to install approximately 490 ft of 12-in. pipeline in Boone County, Kentucky. Headquarters is Florence, Kentucky. The superintendent is Bill Adams. Approximate start date: Aug. 2.

Henkels & McCoy Inc. was awarded a pipeline project contract by TC Energy for sinkhole repair on a road bore of unknown length and diameter of pipeline in Williamson County, Tennessee. Headquarters is Franklin, Tennessee. The superintendent is Jeff Karstens. Approximate start date: Aug. 2.

Dun Transportation & Stringing Inc. was awarded a contract by Enterprise Products to loadout for hauling approximately 3.5 miles of 16-in. pipe in Midland County, Texas. Headquarters is the pipe yard. The superintendent is Dennis McCarthy. Approximate start date: July 30.

United Piping Inc. was awarded a pipeline project contract by Blue Water Gas for integrity digs on a 26-in. pipeline in St. Clair County, Michigan. Headquarters is St. Clair, Michigan. The superintendent is Kendall Pilarski. Approximate start date: July 30.

United Piping Inc. was awarded a contract by Enbridge Energy for integrity digs and sleeve cutouts for fabrication replacement on a 30-in. pipeline in Schoolcraft and Marquette counties, Michigan. Headquarters is to be determined. The superintendent is Robert Gall. Approximate start date: July 27.

Snelson Cos. Inc. was awarded a contract by Pacific Gas & Electric Company to replace 4-in. compressor station piping in San Bernardino County, California. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is Matt Groeneveld. Approximate start date: July 26.

U.S. Pipeline Inc. was awarded a contract by Kinder Morgan to replace approximately 1,723 ft of 24-in. pipeline in Ontario County, New York. The superintendent is Dana Bratcher. Approximate start date: July 26.

Maxx HDD LLC was awarded a contract by Price Gregory International Inc. for various horizontal directional drills along approximately 150 miles of 24-in. pipeline in Goshen and Laramie counties, Wyoming and Weld County, Colorado. Headquarters is Cheyenne, Wyoming. The superintendent is TJ Strickland. Approximate start date: July 22.

Penn Line Service Inc. was awarded a contract by Price Gregory International Inc. for restoration on approximately 4.7 miles of 12-in. pipeline right-of-way in Allegany County, Maryland. Headquarters will be on the jobsite. The superintendent is Jim Pratt. Approximate start date: TBD (announced July 20).

Snelson Cos. Inc. was awarded a contract by Center Point Energy for the retrofitting and testing of approximately 5 miles of 12-in. pipeline in Monroe County, Indiana. Headquarters is Martinsville, Indiana. The superintendent is Andy Hostetter. Approximate start date: July 20.

United Piping Inc. was awarded a contract by Enbridge Energy to install camera towers for anchor monitoring on a 20-in. pipeline in Emmet County, Michigan. Headquarters is St. Ignace, Michigan. The superintendent is Jim Bailer. Approximate start date: July 20.

Snelson Cos. Inc. was awarded a contract by Duke Energy to replace approximately 2,760 ft of 24-in. pipeline in Hamilton County, Ohio. Headquarters is Cincinnati, Ohio. The superintendent is Jeff Sanderson. Approximate start date: July 19.

Ellingson Trenchless LLC (d/b/a ECI Contracting) was awarded a pipeline project contract by Southeast Connections LLC to install approximately 7,200 ft of 8-in. steel pipeline via horizontal directional drilling in Horry County, South Carolina. Headquarters is at the jobsite. The superintendent is Derek Vogel. Approximate start date: July 14.

Utility Line Services Inc. was awarded a contract by New Jersey Natural for the hydrostatic testing of approximately 45,269 ft of 30-in. pipeline in Burlington and Monmouth counties, New Jersey. Headquarters is Bordentown, New Jersey. The superintendents are Cliff Sinclair and Donnie Space. Approximate start date: July 14.

Apex Pipeline Services Inc. was awarded a contract by BHE to replace approximately 4,600 ft of 30-in. pipeline in Wetzel County, West Virginia. Headquarters is Pine Grove, West Virginia. The superintendent is Eric Creel. Approximate start date: July 13.

Right-of-Way Clearing & Maintenance Inc. was awarded a pipeline project contract by Eastern Gas Transmission and Storage for clearing and grubbing of approximately 4,600 ft of 30-in. pipeline right-of-way in Wetzel County, West Virginia. Headquarters is Pine Grove, West Virginia. The superintendent is Rick Brown. Approximate start date: July 13.

Apex Pipeline Services Inc. was awarded a contract by TC Energy to replace approximately 1,200 ft of 36-in. pipeline in Hardy County, West Virginia. Headquarters is Mathias, West Virginia. The superintendent is Cecil Hill. Approximate start date: July 12.

Dun Transportation and Stringing Inc. was awarded a contract by Welspun for the offloading, hauling and stockpiling of approximately 23 miles of 36-in. pipeline in Refugio County, Texas. Headquarters is the pipe yard. The superintendent is Greg Norman. Approximate start date: July 12.

Pe Ben USA Inc. was awarded a contract Michels Corporation for the loading, hauling and stringing of approximately 90 miles of 8-in. through 24-in. pipe in Burke, Mountrail, Williams and McKenzie counties, North Dakota. Headquarters are Tioga and Watford, North Dakota. The superintendent is Toby Prawl. Approximate start date: July 12.
