North American Pipeline Project Roundup: November/December 2021
Project Roundup is a monthly feature that summarizes the contracts awarded for pipeline projects in North America. The following oil and gas pipeline contracts have been announced. Projects are in order of most recent approximate starting date. All listings are for 2021 unless noted.
InterCon Construction Inc. was awarded a contract by Apex Pipeline Services Inc. to install approximately 1,100 ft of 24-in. pipeline via horizontal directional drilling in Tyler County, West Virginia. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is John Olson. Approximate start date: Nov. 1.
The Hillis Group was awarded a contract by U.S. Pipeline Inc. for excavation and storm water pipe and retention basin installation in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania. The superintendent is Brett Ehasz. Approximate start date: Oct. 25.
InfraSource Construction LLC was awarded a contract by Washington Gas & Light to install three 16-in. valves, two 16-in. line stoppers, 10 drill nipples, three 16-in. insulators, three 6-in. valves and approximately 170 ft of 6-in. pipeline and miscellaneous fittings in Falls Church, Virginia. Headquarters is Falls Church, Virginia. The superintendent is Chad Colley. Approximate start date: Oct. 25.
InterCon Construction Inc. was awarded a contract by C.J. Hughes Construction/Mountaineer Gas to install approximately 500 ft of 12-in. pipeline in Berkely County, West Virginia. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is Chico Garcia. Approximate start date: Oct. 25.
Minnesota Limited LLC was awarded a contract by Dakota Carrier Network to install approximately 2,500 ft of 8-in. pipeline in Cass County, North Dakota. Headquarters is Horace, Nebraska. The superintendent is Justin Price. Approximate start date: Oct. 25.
United Piping Inc. was awarded a contract by Enbridge to install a temporary dam, excavate pipeline and installation of sandbags and riprap on approximately 300 ft of 20-in. pipeline in Converse County, Wyoming. Headquarters is Glenrock, Wyoming. The superintendent is Robert Gall. Approximate start date: Oct. 25.
U.S. Pipeline Inc. was awarded a contract by Williams – Transcontinental Gas Co. for various anomaly investigations in York County, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is Drew Batton. Approximate start date:

Dun Transportation & Stringing Inc. was awarded a contract by H&S Constructors Inc. for a project to load, haul, and string approximately 8 miles of 16-in. pipe in Eddy County, New Mexico. Headquarters is the pipe yard. The superintendent is Dennis McCarty. Approximate start date: Oct. 19.
Apex Pipeline Services was awarded a contract by TC Energy for the abandonment of approximately 500 ft of pipeline and building demolition in Jackson County, Ohio. Headquarters is Oak Hill, Ohio. The superintendent is Richard Casto. Approximate start date: Oct. 18.
Henkels & McCoy Inc. was awarded a contract by Duke Energy to install three meter stations of various pipe sizes in Boone and Campbell counties, Kentucky. Headquarters is Silver Grove, Kentucky. The superintendent is Jeff Karsten. Approximate start date: Oct. 18.
InfraSource Construction Inc. was awarded a contract by Washington Gas & Light for the abandonment of approximately 1,600 ft of various size pipelines from 4 to 26 in. and a regulator station, install 70 ft of 30-in. and 30 ft of 24-in. pipeline, three 24-in. pipeline stoppers 10 2-in. drill nipples and three gauge line risers replacements in Montgomery and Prince Georges counties, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. Headquarters is unknown. The superintendent is Chad Colley. Approximate start date: Oct. 18.
United Piping Inc. was awarded a contract by Enbridge to replace steel platforms at two sites in Lenawee and Ingham counties, Michigan. Headquarters are Stockbridge and Britton, Michigan. The superintendent is Joel Bailer. Approximate start date: Oct. 18.
United Piping Inc. was awarded a contract by Jamar for hydro-testing approximately 5 miles of 10- and 6-in. pipeline in Douglas County, Wisconsin. Headquarters is Superior, Wisconsin. The superintendent is Joel Bailer. Approximate start date: Oct. 18.
Ellingson Trenchless LLC (d/b/a ECI Contracting) was awarded a contract by Price Gregory International Inc. to install approximately 2,700 ft of 24-in. pipeline via horizontal directional drilling in Goshen County, Wyoming. Headquarters is on the drill site. The superintendent is Kurt Peterson. Approximate start date: Oct. 11.
Pe Ben USA Inc. was awarded a contract by WHC to haul approximately 3.5 miles of 36-in. pipe in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana. Headquarters is Houston, Texas. The superintendent is Eric Gregory. Approximate start date: Oct. 11.
Schmid Pipeline Construction Inc. was awarded a project contract by DTE Energy Gas Co. for multiple anomaly digs on a 36-in. pipeline in St. Claire County, Michigan. Headquarters is to be determined. The superintendent is Lonnie Skadsem. Approximate start date: Oct. 11.
Snelson Companies Inc. was awarded a contract by Consumers Energy to install approximately 8,457 ft of 12-in. pipeline, 1,760 ft of 2-in. pipeline and the retirement in place of approximately 4,871 ft of 10-in. pipeline, 9,364 ft of 6-in. pipeline, 950 ft of 4-in. pipeline and 414 ft of 2-in. pipeline Genesee County, Michigan. Headquarters is Grand Blanc, Michigan. The superintendent is Any Hostetler. Approximate start date: Oct. 11.
U.S. Pipeline Inc. was awarded a contract by Williams for filter separator replacement in Burlington County, New Jersey. Headquarters is Bordentown, New Jersey. The superintendent is Gary Seidel. Approximate start date: Oct. 11.
Pe Ben USA Inc. was awarded a contract by Crestwood for the loading and hauling of approximately 15 miles of 16-in. pipe in Converse County, Wyoming. Headquarters is Douglas, Wyoming. The superintendent is Trey Stokes. Approximate start date: Oct. 9.
Ellingson Trenchless LLC (d/b/a ECI Contracting) was awarded a contract by United Piping Inc. to install approximately 2,000 ft of 8-in. pipeline via horizontal directional drilling in Fremont County, Iowa. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is Kurt Peterson. Approximate start date: Oct. 8.
Minnesota Limited LLC was awarded a project contract by CenterPoint Energy for a 10- and 6-in. launcher barrel installation in Piqua County, Ohio. Headquarters is Piqua, Ohio. The superintendent is Tommy Alexander. Approximate start date: Oct. 7.
Henkels & McCoy Inc. was awarded a contract by Enbridge for an integrity dig in Richmond County, New York. Headquarters is Stony Point, New York. The superintendent is James Langston. Approximate start date: Oct. 6.
R.L. Coolsaet Construction Co. was awarded a contract by DTE Energy for 36-in. pipeline mainline valve replacement and two 36-in. pipeline cutouts in Macomb County, Michigan, and one 36-in. pipeline cutout in Oakland County, Michigan. Headquarters is to be determined. The superintendent is Bart Jeannette. Approximate start date: Oct. 5.
Pe Ben USA Inc. was awarded a contract by Michels Corp. to haul 2,300 ft of 36-in. pipe in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, to Jefferson County, Texas. Headquarters is Houston, Texas. The superintendent is Jimmy Gregory. Approximate start date: Oct. 1.
Aaron Enterprises Inc. was awarded a contract by U.S. Pipeline Inc. to install approximately 120 ft of 16-in. pipeline through slick-bore installation in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is Chester, Pennsylvania. The superintendent is Mark Myers. Approximate start date: Sept. 27.
Apex Pipeline Services Inc. was awarded a contract by BHE to repair washout on approximately 700 ft of 12-in. pipeline in Raleigh County, West Virginia. Headquarters is Bolt, West Virginia. The superintendent is Cecil Hill. Approximate start date: Sept. 27.
Snelson Companies Inc. was awarded a contract by Pacific Gas & Electric Co. for a project to replace block and vent fuel gas valves and actuators on compressor units in San Bernardino County, California. U.S. Pipeline Inc. was awarded a contract by Enbridge to replace approximately 120 ft of 26-in. pipeline in Westchester County, New York. Headquarters is Buchanan, New York. The superintendent is Thad Hutchens. Approximate start date: Sept. 27.
