North American Pipeline Project Roundup: November/December 2017

Project Roundup: The following oil and gas pipeline projects have been announced. Projects are in order of most recent approximate starting date. All projects are for 2017 unless noted.

InterCon Construction Inc. was awarded a contract by Foltz Welding Ltd. to install approximately 4,500 ft of 20-in. pipeline via horizontal directional drilling in Daviess County, Kentucky, and Spencer County, Indiana. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is Jerry McVay. Approximate start date: Dec. 4.

T.G. Mercer Consulting Services Inc. was awarded a contract by MVP for miscellaneous pipe yard work in Upshur, Braxton, Nicholas and Ritchie counties, West Virginia. Headquarters is Willow Park, Texas. The superintendent is Michael Magee. Approximate start date: Dec. 1.

United Piping Inc. was awarded a contract by TransCanada for 36-in. pipeline integrity digs in St. Louis County, Minnesota. Headquarters is Duluth, Minnesota. The superintendent is Rick Oswskey. Approximate start date: Nov. 30.

Snelson Companies Inc. was awarded contracts by Pacific Gas & Electric for the following: 1) the replacement of one 6-in. valve and 20 ft of 6- and 8-in. pipeline in San Joaquin County, California. United Piping Inc. was awarded a contract by TransCanada for integrity digs on a 36-in. pipeline in St. Louis County, Minnesota. Headquarters is Duluth, Minnesota. The superintendent is Rich Oswskey. Approximate start date: Nov. 27.

United Piping Inc. was awarded a contract by Enbridge for AC mitigation work on seven sites in Erie County, New York. Headquarters is to be determined. The superintendent is John Mitchell. Approximate start date: Nov. 27.

Dun Transportation and Stringing Inc. was awarded a contract by ETC for the offloading and stockpiling of approximately 18 miles of 30-in. pipe in Pecos County, Texas. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is Eddie Oliver. Approximate start date: Nov. 20.

Letourneau Enterprises LLC was awarded a contract by Otis Eastern Service LLC for hand felling, clearing, grubbing and matting on approximately 7.76 miles of 16-in. pipeline right of way for the Millennium Valley Lateral Project in Orange County, New York. United Piping Inc. was awarded contracts by Enbridge for the following: 1) 11 integrity digs on 34-in. pipeline in Clark, Marathon, Rusk, Sawyer Taylor and Wood counties, Wisconsin. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is Dave Halberg; and 2) linear anode installation and cathodic protection work on a 36-in. pipeline in Lake County, Indiana. Headquarters is undetermined. The superintendent is Joel Bailer. Approximate start date: 1) Nov. 8 and 2) Nov. 13.

Pe Ben USA Inc. was awarded a contract by Michels Corporation for the loading, hauling and stringing of approximately 10 miles of 42-in. pipe in Lucas County, Ohio and Washtenaw County, Michigan. Headquarters is not yet determined. The superintendent is Cody Phillips. Approximate start date:

Schmid Pipeline Construction Inc. was awarded a contract by Northern Natural Gas for the modification of casing, removal of vent piping and the installation of a test station in Steams County, Minnesota.
