North American Pipeline Project Roundup: January/February 2022

Project Roundup is a monthly feature that summarizes the contracts awarded for pipeline projects in North America. The following pipeline contracts have been announced and appeared in the January/February issue of North American Energy Pipelines. Projects are in order of most recent approximate starting date. All listings are for 2022 unless noted.

Q&D Construction was awarded a contract to install approximately 3.4 miles of 8-in. pipeline in San Bernardino County, California. Headquarters is Lucerne Valley, California. The superintendent is Thomas Weddell. Approximate start date: Feb. 7.

Q&D Construction was awarded a contract to rerout approximately 5 miles of 6-in. pipeline including eight horizontal directional drills in Grant County, South Dakota. Headquarters is Milbank, South Dakota. The superintendent is Cory Vandervoorden. Approximate start date: Jan. 24.

Apex Pipeline Services Inc. was awarded a contract for slip repair on approximately 10 miles of pipeline right-of-way in Wetzel County, West Virginia. Headquarters is New Martinsville, West Virginia. The superintendent is Richard Castro. Approximate start date: Jan. 10.

Northern Clearing Inc. was awarded a contract for the hand cutting of trees on approximately 600 ft of pipeline right-of-way in St. Louis County, Missouri. Headquarters is to be determined. The superintendent is Dustin Hecimovich. Approximate start date: Jan. 10.

InterCon Construction Inc. was awarded a contract to install approximately 1,800 ft of 20-in. pipeline via horizontal directional drilling in Tyler County, West Virginia. The superintendent is John Olson. Approximate start date: Jan. 5.

United Piping Inc. was awarded a contract for lube oil flush in Oconto County, Wisconsin. Headquarters is Suring, Wisconsin. The superintendent is Joel Bailer. Approximate start date: Jan. 5.

Aaron Enterprises Inc. was awarded a contract to install approximately 1,100 ft of 16-in. pipeline casing via horizontal directional drilling in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is Chester, Pennsylvania. The superintendent is Earl Travis. Approximate start date: Jan. 4.

Dun Transportation & Stringing Inc. was awarded a contract for the hauling of an undetermined number of mats to various locations in Arkansas. Headquarters is Searcy, Arkansas. The superintendent is Rick Perrington. Approximate start date: Jan. 3.

Ellingson Trenchless LLP (d/b/a ECI Contracting) was awarded a contract to install approximately 800 ft of 10-in. pipeline via horizontal directional drilling in Union County, New Jersey. Headquarters is Linden, New Jersey. The superintendent is Kurt Peterson. Approximate start date: Jan. 3.

Right-of-Way Clearing & Maintenance Inc. was awarded a contract for clearing on approximately 5.2 miles of 20- and 24-in. pipeline right-of-way in Tyler County, West Virginia. Headquarters is Sistersville, West Virginia. The superintendent is Orvil Davis. Approximate start date: Jan. 3.

Dun Transportation & Stringing Inc. was awarded a contract for the offloading and stockpiling an undetermined length of 12- and 16-in. pipe in Colorado County, Texas. Headquarters is Glidden, Texas. The superintendent is Rick Perrington. Approximate start date: Dec. 29, 2021.

U.S. Pipeline Inc. was awarded a contract to cutout a pipeline fitting in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is Drew Batton. Approximate start date: Dec. 14, 2021.

Apex Pipeline Services Inc. was awarded a contract to install approximately 6 miles of 20-in. pipeline and 6 miles of 24-in. pipeline in Tyler County, West Virginia. Headquarters is Sistersville, West Virginia. The superintendent is Eric Creel. Approximate start date: Dec. 8, 2021.

Appalachian Pipeline Contractors LLP was awarded a contract for the take up and relay of approximately 600 ft of 30-in. pipeline in Davidson County, Tennessee. Headquarters is to be determined. The superintendent is Anthony Campbell. Approximate start date: unknown (announced Dec. 7, 2021).

Minnesota Limited LLC was awarded a contract for the welding of 2- to 30-in. station fabrication in Sherburne County, Minnesota. Headquarters The superintendent is Dustin Adams. Approximate start date: Dec. 6, 2021.

Pe Ben USA Inc. was awarded a contract for the offloading and stockpiling of approximately 3.5 miles of 36-in. pipe in Rutherford County, Tennessee. Headquarters is Le Vergne, Tennessee. The superintendent is Erik Cervantes. Approximate start date: Dec. 6, 2021.

United Piping Inc. was awarded a contract for installation of approximately 7,880 ft of
22-in. pipeline, an autoloader pig trap and the removal of approximately 6,400 ft of 22-in. pipeline in Livingstone County, Illinois. Headquarters is Pontiac, Illinois. The superintendent is Robert Gall. Approximate start date: Dec. 6, 2021.

Pe Ben USA Inc. was awarded a contract to haul and stockpile approximately 9,000 ft of 20-in. pipe in Tyler County, West Virginia. The superintendent is Jimmy Gregory. Approximate start date: Nov. 30, 2021.

Pe Ben USA Inc. was awarded a contract for the loading onto railcars of approximately 2 miles of 36-in. pipe in Washington County, North Carolina. Headquarters is Plymouth, North Carolina. The superintendent is Jimmy Gregory. Approximate start date: Nov. 30, 2021.

B&N Clearing and Environmental LLC was awarded a contract for clearing and matting on approximately 2,211 ft of 12-in. pipeline in Mineral County, West Virginia and Allegany County, Maryland. Headquarters is Cumberland, Maryland. The superintendent is Kevin Newcomb. Approximate start date: Nov. 29, 2021.

The Hillis Group LLC was awarded a contract for restoration on 4 to 5 acres of pipeline station right-of-way in Berks County, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is Robesonia, Pennsylvania. The superintendent is Brett Ehasz. Approximate start date: Nov. 29, 2021.

The Hillis Group LLC was awarded a contract for hydroseeding restoration on approximately 10 acres pipeline station right-of-way in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is Grantville, Pennsylvania. The superintendent is Brett Ehasz. Approximate start date: Nov. 29, 2021.

InfraSource Construction LLC was awarded a contract to install a launcher assembly, 125 ft of 12-in. pipeline, 75 ft of 16-in. pipeline, 50 ft of 6-in. pipeline, 50 ft of 2-in. pipeline, and two 2-in. line stopples in Upper Marlboro and Prince George’s Counties, Maryland. Headquarters is Brandywine, Maryland. The superintendent is Chad Colley. Approximate start date: Nov. 29, 2021.

Northern Clearing Inc. was awarded a contract for the clearing on approximately 21.57 miles of 24-in. pipeline right-of-way in Porter and Lake Counties, Indiana. Headquarters is to be determined. The superintendent is Duanne Kmieciak. Approximate start date: Nov. 29, 2021.

Ellingson Trenchless (d/b/a ECI Contracting) was awarded a contract by Jomax Construction to install approximately 2,250 ft of 16-in. pipeline in McKenzie County, North Dakota. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is Kurt Peterson. Approximate start date: Nov. 15, 2021.

Henkels & McCoy Inc. was awarded a contract by PSE&G for the demolition, excavation, installation and hydrotesting of an unknown amount of 2- to 42-in. piping in Middlesex County, New Jersey. Headquarters is Edison, New Jersey. The superintendent is Bill Adams. Approximate start date: Nov. 15, 2021.

Right-of-Way Clearing & Maintenance Inc. was awarded a contract by Apex Pipeline Services Inc. for the clearing on approximately 15,513 ft of 20- and 24-in. pipeline right-of-way in Tyler County, West Virginia.
