Ditch-Witch-FTX60Ditch Witch FXT60 Tandem Axle Truck

The Ditch Witch FXT60 tandem axle truck is an exceptionally versatile vacuum excavator with the power to perform a wide variety of cleanup tasks, even in difficult-to-access locations. Built to handle heavy spoils while towing a trailer, the tandem rear-axle can reduce equipment and fuel costs.

The vacuum excavator is mounted directly to the truck frame rails, allowing system components to flex independently of the truck, maximizing structural integrity. Enhancing the machine’s stability are saddle-style tanks that provide even weight distribution, making the FXT60 easier to handle
during transport.

Equipped with a 74-hp (55-kW) Deutz diesel engine, the FXT60 offers 1,027 cfm (29.1 m3/min) of suction power and a high-pressure water system with a 5.5-gpm (21-l/min), 3,000-psi (207-bar) water pump — more than enough power and suction for large cleanup jobs around directional drilling sites and municipal locations, plus soft excavation tasks such as potholing utilities. Its autoclutching feature disengages the water pump when water is not in use, allowing full system power for suction.

McLaughlin-VX50-Gen-3Vermeer VX50-500 Generation 3 Vacuum Excavator by McLaughlin

McLaughlin will introduce its all new VX50-500 Vacuum Excavator for utility potholing at ICUEE 2015. Already the most popular vacuum excavator in the McLaughlin lineup, the next generation features a no-hassle hose configuration, a modular truck mount design and a Kubota Tier 4 final engine with a common fuel rail system.

Designed with the end-user in mind, the no-hassle hose allows contractors to hang the suction hose on the side of the machine when moving between jobsites instead of coiling or disconnecting it, increasing productivity and reducing
operator fatigue.

The VX50-500 has aluminum blower and water belt tensioners that keep consistent pressure on the belt, extending its life and making it easier to service. The VX50-500 also has the McLaughlin patented cam-over rear door design, three-stage cyclonic filtration system and in-tank wash down system.

Super-Products-Mud-Dog-1600---Promo-Photo-2015Super Products Mud Dog 1600 Hydro Vac

Super Products LLC designed and built its Mud Dog 1600 to meet the demanding hydro-excavation challenges inherent in oilfield, mining and cold weather applications. This unit features a 16-yard debris body, standard 2,000-gallon water tank setup and rear-mounted boom that in addition to offering 335-degree rotation can pivot down 25 degrees for 8 ft of extra digging and access to hard-to-reach areas.

For outstanding digging performance, the 1600 offers water pressures up to 18 gpm at 3,000 psi in combination with its 8-in. positive displacement vacuum system that provides air flow of 5,800 cfm/28 Hg to ensure thorough cleanup of debris. An onboard boiler heats up the high-pressure water to break up frozen, stubborn material and flush out tight spaces efficiently. Winter recirculation, anti-freeze and air purge systems ensure the unit performs optimally in even the harshest of climates. Its aluminum cabinet, heated by dual 714,000 Btu/Hr heaters, provides easier access and increased storage capacity.

The Mud Dog 1600 hydro excavator also has several unique features that result in time and cost savings as well as provide operator convenience. Coupled with Super Products’ industry-unique ejector plate technology, the unit’s ability to tilt its debris body 2 ft enables fast, thorough unloading and washdowns.

vacall-AllExcavate_w_BoomHoseVacall AllExcavate Hydro-Excavation Models

Two new vacuum boom tube and hose design options for are now being introduced on Vacall’s AllExcavate hydro excavation models. These new booms now allow customers to select between three different boom and intake hose or tube options that best fit their needs and preferences.

The options are:
1. A new boom design using a heavy-duty full-length rubber hose which is durable yet flexible with a gum rubber lining that runs from the turret mounted on the debris tank out to the pick-up point.
2. A steel tube-in-tube boom and intake that connects to an identical rubber hose elbow that leads to the pick-up point.
3. The original steel tube-in-tube with steel elbow boom and intake tube.

The AllExcavate strong vacuum forces generate up to 27-in. Hg and up to 5,800 cfm.  Used in combination with the machine’s high-power water jetting forces, the AllExcavate can effectively loosen and remove dirt and other material from around utility lines and foundations where mass excavation is not possible. Vacall is a trademark of Alamo Group Inc., which has been a world leader in the design, manufacture, distribution and service of high quality equipment for right-of-way maintenance and agriculture for 40 years.
