The Pipeline Leadership Conference is proud to announce the Student-Led Pipeline Innovations Workshop at this year’s conference, Nov. 8, at the Hyatt Place Houston/The Woodlands in The Woodlands, Texas.
The oil and gas pipeline industry is facing major challenges in recruiting and retaining employees. In the effort to address a looming workforce shortage, the Student-Led Pipeline Innovations Workshop provides the opportunity for conference attendees to directly interact with college and high school students aspiring to enter the oil and gas pipeline sector.
As a new component to the fourth annual Pipeline Leadership Conference, the Student-Led Pipeline Innovations Workshop will feature the participation of students from Oklahoma State University, Skills USA, Houston Community College, Louisiana Tech, Arizona State University and the University of Alberta. Participants will present their projects and experiences in the pipeline industry, during the Workforce Forum portion of the conference on Day 2.
Sponsors for the workshop include Centuri Construction Group, the Distribution Contractors Association and Vacuworx. Sponsoring organizations will have the opportunity to mentor these student leaders in preparation for the workshop.
The 2018 Pipeline Leadership Conference will be held Nov. 7-8, at the Hyatt Place Houston/The Woodlands in The Woodlands, Texas. The conference is organized by Benjamin Media Inc. and North American Oil & Gas Pipelines in cooperation with Continuum Capital.
