One of Pipe Wrap’s advanced composite repair systems, for pipelines and piping, is A+ Wrap. This product is frequently used as part of a custom-designed repair for pipelines and piping systems suffering from external corrosion and pitting, dents, gouges, welds or manufacturing defects.
Consisting of high-strength proprietary glass fiber reinforcement, this pre-impregnated system offers the ideal remediation for any pipe regardless of size or shape. It conforms easily to elbows, tees, flanges, bends, etc., and requires no special tools for application.
The system follows the ASME PCC-2 and ISO 28417 standards and begins to set within an hour. The product can be applied in temperatures up to 120 F and works up to 365 F.
In addition, A+ Wrap can be applied on dry or wet surfaces, even underwater. Once the pouch is opened, the applier has 30 minutes working time before the wrap begins to set. Depending on the temperature, it will cure in a couple of hours and, then, can be buried, if necessary. The repair will fully cure in about 24 hours.
