North American Pipeline Project Roundup: September/October 2020

Project Roundup is a monthly feature that summarizes the contracts awarded for pipeline projects in North America. The following oil and gas pipeline projects have been announced. Projects are in order of most recent approximate starting date. All projects are for 2020 unless noted.

United Piping Inc. was awarded a contract by TC Energy for the demolition of a turbine compressor including removing equipment, support structures. Building, cranes, foundation and piping and rerouting of a water line in Kootenai County, Idaho. Headquarters is Athol, Idaho. The superintendent is Jim Mitchell. Approximate start date: Sept. 10.

Aaron Enterprises Inc. was awarded a contract by U.S. Pipeline Inc. to install approximately 100 ft of 24-in. pipeline by auger bore in Loudoun County, Virginia. Headquarters is Leesburg, Virginia. The superintendent is Glenn Grove. Approximate start date: Sept. 3.

R.L. Coolsaet Construction Co. was awarded a contract by DTE Energy for three 24-in. pipeline anomaly repairs in Macomb County, Michigan. Headquarters is to be determined. The superintendent is Kevin Scully. Approximate start date: Aug. 31.

Minnesota Limited LLC was awarded a contract by Vectren to install a station filter separator and Gas Chromatograph building and the installation of 2- to 12-in. piping in Johnson County, Indiana. Headquarters is Bargersville, Indiana. The superintendent is Tommy Alexander. Approximate start date: Aug. 26.

United Piping Inc. was awarded a contract by BP Pipelines for 12 in-line inspection digs on a 6-in. pipeline in Hamilton County, Ohio. Headquarters is Cincinnati, Ohio. The superintendent is Jim Bailer. Approximate start date: Aug. 26.

Minnesota Limited LLC was awarded a contract by Vectren Energy for a cleanup and restoration work on a small area pipeline work site in Monroe County, Indiana. Headquarters is to be determined. The superintendent is Bill Barker. Approximate start date: Aug. 24.

Penn Line Service Inc. was awarded a contract by Precision Pipeline LLC for restoration on approximately 128 miles of 42-in. pipeline right-of-way in Wetzel, Harrison, Doddridge, Lewis, Braxton, Webster and Nicholas counties, West Virginia. Headquarters are at various locations. The superintendent is Jim Pratt. Approximate start date: Aug. 24.

United Piping Inc. was awarded a contract by BP Pipelines for 2- to 4-in. pipeline inspection in Hancock County, Illinois. Headquarters is Niota, Illinois. The superintendent is Jim Bailer. Approximate start date: Aug. 24.
Beeghly Tree LLC was awarded a contract by U.S. Pipeline Inc. for the clearing and grubbing of approximately 5,200 ft of 24-in. pipeline right-of-way in Loudon County, Virginia. Headquarters is Aldie, Virginia. The superintendent is Ryan Beeghly. Approximate start date: Aug. 20.

The Hillis Group LLC was awarded a contract by Williams Transco for the replacement of approximately 500 ft of 30-in. pipeline in Baltimore County, Maryland. Headquarters is Owings Mills, Maryland. The superintendent is Art Gavlock. Approximate start date: Aug. 20.

Pe Ben USA Inc. was awarded a contract by Pumpco for the hauling of approximately 53.82 miles of 42- and 32-in. pipe in Loving, Reeves, Ward and Pecos counties, Texas. Headquarters is Pecos, Texas. The superintendent is Jonny Maynard. Approximate start date: Aug. 17.

Penn Line Service Inc. was awarded a contract by Price Gregory International Inc. to install approximately .39 miles of 8-in. pipeline, approximately 1.38 miles of 12-in. pipeline and approximately 0.8 miles of 20-in. pipeline in Tioga, Lycoming and Snyder counties, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is on the job site. The superintendent is Jim Pratt. Approximate start date: Aug. 17.

U.S. Pipeline Inc. was awarded a contract by Dominion Energy for the replacement of approximately 5,149 ft of 24-in. pipeline in Loudon County, Virginia. Headquarters is Aldie, Virginia. The superintendent is Jerry Bash. Approximate start date: Aug. 17.

Macki Pipeline Logistics LLC was awarded a contract by BluRoc LLC for the hauling and unloading of various right-of-way materials in Martin County, North Carolina. Headquarters is Williamston, North Carolina. The superintendent is Bud Evou. Approximate start date: Aug. 15.

Associated Pipe Line Contractors Inc. was awarded a contract by Cheniere Corpus Christi Pipeline LP to install approximately 1.2 miles of 36-in. pipeline in San Patricio County, Texas. Headquarters is Sinton, Texas. The superintendent is Michael Fall. Approximate start date: Aug. 11.

BluRoc LLC was awarded a contract by Snelson Cos. Inc. for clearing, matting and fencing on approximately 10.5 miles of 12-in. pipeline right-of-way in Williamston County, North Carolina. Headquarters is Williamston, North Carolina. The superintendent is Wayne McKay. Approximate start date: Aug. 10.

Henkels & McCoy Inc. was awarded a contract by TC Energy to install coalescers at compressor stations in Marathon, Winnebago and Dodge counties, Wisconsin. Headquarters is to be determined. The superintendent is Jeff Fate. Approximate start date: Aug. 10.

The Hillis Group LLC was awarded a contract by Williams Transco to install approximately 10,000 ft of fencing on a pipeline right-of-way in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is White Haven, Pennsylvania. The superintendent is Jason Costantino. Approximate start date: Aug. 10.

Jones-Blythe Construction Co. was awarded a contract by TC Energy for 36-in. pipeline pump station construction in Jefferson County, Nebraska. Headquarters is Steele City, Nebraska. The superintendent is John Blythe.

Schmid Pipeline Construction Inc. was awarded a contract by Equitrans Midstream for slip repairs on an unknown diameter and length of pipeline in Monroe County, Ohio. Headquarters is Brownsville, Pennsylvania. The superintendent is Lonnie Skadsem. Approximate start date: Aug. 10.

United Piping Inc. was awarded a contract by Buckeye Partners, PP for the replacement of approximately 3,850 ft of 12-in. pipeline and the installation of approximately 700 ft of 12-in. pipeline via horizontal directional drilling in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. Headquarters are Claysville, Pennsylvania and Shippingport, Pennsylvania. The superintendents are Dean Jensen and Jon Hillman. Approximate start date: Aug. 10.

United Piping Inc. was awarded a contract by Nexus Gas Transmission for a 3-in. pipeline compressor station upgrade, including drain tile installation, concrete and piping additions, in Columbiana County, Ohio. Headquarters is Hanoverton, Ohio. The superintendent is David Wix. Approximate start date: Aug. 10.

Moosehead Harvesting Inc. was awarded a contract by Encompass Pipeline for the clearing of approximately 2 miles of 12-in. pipeline right-of-way in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is Cogan House Township, Pennsylvania. The superintendent is Robert Redd. Approximate start date: Aug. 6.

Minnesota Limited LLC was awarded a contract by Vectren for integrity and maintenance work including an approximately 950 12-in. pipeline horizontal directional drill, station fabrication, testing and installation, and 12-in. pipeline cutouts in Montgomery County, Indiana. Headquarters is Crawfordsville, Indiana. The superintendent is Frank Walters. Approximate start date: Aug. 3.

Moosehead Harvesting Inc. was awarded a contract by Encompass Pipeline LLC for the clearing of approximately 10,000 ft of 20-in. pipeline right-of-way in Erie County, New York. Headquarters is Lancaster, New York. The superintendent is Robert Reed. Approximate start date: Aug. 3.

Pe Ben USA Inc. was awarded a contract by Pumpco to haul approximately 144.13 miles of 42-in. pipe in Reagan, Crockett, Val Verde, and Kenney counties Texas. Headquarters are Big Lake, Riggs and Brackettville, Texas. The superintendent is Trey Stokes. Approximate start date: Aug. 3.

Q & D Construction LLC was awarded a contract by Southwest Gas Corporation to install approximately 2.8 miles of 8-in. pipeline in Elko County, Nevada. Headquarters is Elko, Nevada. The superintendent is Cory Vandervoorden. Approximate start date: Aug. 3.

Supreme Industries was awarded a contract by Henkels & McCoy Inc. for the hand-felling of trees, clearing, grubbing, and matting for slip repair work on an unknown length of pipeline right-of-way in Jackson and Putnam counties, West Virginia. Headquarters is Ripley, West Virginia. The superintendent is Matthew Opel. Approximate start date: Aug. 3.

Supreme Industries was awarded a contract by U.S. Pipeline Inc. for the clearing, grubbing, and matting of approximately 2.1 miles of 12-in. pipeline in Hampden County, Massachusetts. Headquarters is Agawam, Massachusetts. The superintendent is Claude St. Pierre. Approximate start date: Aug. 3.

Ace Pipeline Inc. was awarded a contract by Antero Midstream LLC to install approximately 4 miles of 24-in. pipeline in Tyler County, West Virginia. Headquarters is New Martinsville, West Virginia. The superintendent is Jeremy Phillips. Approximate start date: Aug. 1.

InterCon Construction Inc. was awarded a contract by Buckeye Partners for the replacement of approximately 400 ft of 8-in. pipeline in Nodaway County, Missouri and the replacement of approximately 3,700 ft of 12-in. pipeline in Ray County, Missouri. Headquarters are Quitman, Missouri and Lawson, Missouri. The superintendent is Carl Bubolz. Approximate start date: Aug. 1.

Pe Ben USA Inc. was awarded a contract by Strike for the loading and hauling of approximately 224.39 miles of 42-in. pipe in Kenney, Maverick, Zavala, Dimmit, La Salle, McMullen, Duval, Jim Wells and Nueces counties in Texas. Headquarters are Brackettville and Robstown, Texas. The superintendent is Robert Cooley. Approximate start date: Aug. 1.

Penn Line Service Inc. was awarded a contract by Price Gregory International Inc. for the restoration of approximately 24.5 miles of 36-in. pipeline right-of-way in Vinton and Jackson counties Ohio. Headquarters is Jackson, Ohio. The superintendent is Jim Pratt. Approximate start date: July 29.

United Piping Inc. was awarded a contract by Nexus Gas Transmission for 3” compressor station upgrades in Sandusky and Median counties, Ohio. Headquarters are Clyde and Wadsworth, Ohio. The superintendent is David Wix. Approximate start date: July 29.

Macki Pipeline Logistics LLC was awarded a contract by BluRoc LLC for the hauling and unloading of pipeline materials in Robeson County, North Carolina. The headquarters is Maxton, North Carolina. The superintendent is James Smith. Approximate start date: July 28.

BluRoc LLC was awarded a contract by Snelson Cos. Inc. for the clearing, matting and fencing on approximately 3.93 miles of 24- and 8-in. pipeline right-of-way in Robeson County, North Carolina. Headquarters is Lumberton, North Carolina. The superintendent is Tyson Shook. Approximate start date: July 27.

Minnesota Limited LLC was awarded a contract by Vectren to install a new 4” through 12-in. piping regulator station in Montgomery County, Indiana. Headquarters is Crawfordsville, Indiana. The superintendent is Tommy Alexander. Approximate start date: July 27.

Snelson Cos. Inc. was awarded a contract by Duke Energy to install approximately 55,169 ft of 12-in. pipeline in Martin County, North Carolina. Headquarters is Williamston, North Carolina. The superintendent is Hank Sullivent. Approximate start date: July 27.

T.G. Mercer Consulting Services Inc. was awarded a contract by Tallgrass Energy Partners for yard restoration in Weld County, Colorado. Headquarters is Willow Park, Texas. The superintendent is Larry Rodriguez. Approximate start date: July 24.

U.S. Pipeline Inc. was awarded a contract by Kinder Morgan – Tennessee Gas Pipeline Co. to install approximately 11,088 ft of 12-in. pipeline in Hampden County, Massachusetts. Headquarters is Agawam, Massachusetts. The superintendent is Tommy Dunn. Approximate start date: July 23.

Henkels & McCoy Inc. was awarded a contract by TC Energy for the removal of 20 foot sections of 36-in. pipeline and replacement with heavy-wall pipe in Marshall, Wirt, Jackson and Putnam counties, West Virginia and the installation of approximately 4,400 ft of 6” poly pipe inside a 16” Dresser coupling line in Tyler County, West Virginia. Headquarters are Hannibal, Ohio, Mineral Wells and Ripley, West Virginia. The superintendents are Marty Moss, Bryant Long, and Kenny Sweetin. Approximate start date: July 22.

InterCon Construction Inc. was awarded a contract by Northern Natural Gas to install four station TBS Mods of varying pipe sizes in Monroe, Juneau, and Sauk counties, Wisconsin. Headquarters is Waunakee, Wisconsin. The superintendent is Delbert Browning. Approximate start date: July 22.

Michels Corporation was awarded a contract by Pumpco to install an unknown length of 42-in. pipeline via horizontal directional drilling in Kimble County, Texas. Headquarters is London, Texas. The superintendent is Eric McBrair. Approximate start date: July 22.

InterCon Construction Inc. was awarded a contract by Vectren to install approximately 2,157 ft of 20-in. pipeline via horizontal directional drilling in Montgomery County, Ohio. Headquarters is on the job site. The superintendent is John Olson. Approximate start date: July 20.

Price Gregory International Inc. was awarded a contract by UGI Energy Services to install approximately .39 miles of 8-in. pipeline, 1.38 miles of 12-in. pipeline, and .8 miles of 20-in. pipeline in Tioga, Lycoming and Snyder counties, Pennsylvania, respectively. Headquarters is Roaring Branch, Pennsylvania. The superintendent is Jack Burch. Approximate start date: TBD (announced July 20).

Snelson Cos. Inc. was awarded a contract by Duke Energy to install approximately 4 miles of 24-in. pipeline along with new meter station and launcher/receiver set in Robeson County, North Carolina.
