North American Pipeline Project Roundup: September 2019

Project Roundup is a monthly feature that summarizes the contracts awarded for pipeline projects in North America. The following oil and gas pipeline projects have been announced. Projects are in order of most recent approximate starting date. All projects are for 2019 unless noted.

Maxx HDD LLC was awarded a contract by Michels Corp. to install approximately 5,400 ft of 12-in. pipeline via two horizontal directional drills in Tulsa County, Oklahoma. Headquarters is Tulsa, Oklahoma. The superintendent is Michael Marchbanks. Approximate start date: Sept. 19.

Maxx HDD LLC was awarded a contract by U.S. Trinity Energy Services LLC to install approximately 1,250 ft of 42-in. pipeline via horizontal directional drilling in Wirt County, West Virginia. Headquarters is Beaver, West Virginia. The superintendent is TJ Strickland. Approximate start date: Sept. 19.

Aaron Enterprises Inc. was awarded a contract by Apex Pipeline Services Inc. to install approximately 5,600 ft of 20-in. pipeline via horizontal directional drill in Marshall County, West Virginia. Headquarters is York, Pennsylvania. The superintendent is Randy Bunch. Approximate start date: Aug. 23.

Maxx HDD LLC was awarded a contract by Michels Corp. to install a undetermined length of 12-in. pipeline via multiple horizontal directional drills in Lancaster County, Nebraska. Headquarters is Lincoln, Nebraska. The superintendent is Charlie Evans. Approximate start date: Aug. 19.

Minnesota Limited LLC was awarded a contract by Enbridge Energy of the replacement of a 24-in. pipeline receiving trap in Will County, Illinois. Headquarters is Mokena, Illinois. The superintendent is Tyler Rose. Approximate start date: Aug. 19.

Infrasource LLC was awarded a contract by Black Hills Energy to install approximately 3 miles of 8-in. pipeline in Dickinson County, Iowa. Headquarters is to be determined. The superintendent is Tim Collins. Approximate start date: Aug. 12.

Sterling Pipeline Solutions LLC was awarded a contract by Michels Corp. for the clearing and matting of approximately 1,300 ft of 16-in. pipeline right-of-way in Lancaster County, Nebraska. Headquarters is Lincoln, Nebraska. The superintendent is Jason Roach. Approximate start date: Aug. 12.

United Piping Inc. was awarded a contract by TC Energy to remove and replace a 4-in. pipeline valve in Des Moines County, Iowa. Headquarters is West Burlington, Iowa. The superintendent is Joel Bailer. Approximate start date: Aug. 12.

Dun Transportation and Stringing Inc. was awarded a contract by American Steel Pipe for the offloading and stockpiling of approximately 8.3 miles of 24-in. pipe in Pecos County, Texas. Headquarters is Fort Stockton, Texas. The superintendent is Johnny Denton. Approximate start date: Aug. 5.

Letourneau Enterprises LLC was awarded a contract by Otis Eastern Service LLC for the clearing, grubbing, and matting of approximately 3.69 miles of 4-, 10-, and 12-in. pipeline right-of-way in Marshall County, West Virginia. Headquarters is Powhatan Point, Ohio. The superintendent is Mark Jones. Approximate start date: Aug. 5.

United Piping Inc. was awarded a contract by Michels Corp. for a pipeline lube oil flush in Rice County, Minnesota. Headquarters is Faribault, Minnesota. The superintendent is Glenn Bixler. Approximate start date: Aug. 5.

Pe Ben USA Inc. was awarded a contract by Apex Pipeline Services Inc. for the hauling to the right-of-way of approximately 17 miles of 20-in. pipe in Marshall and Wetzel counties, West Virginia and Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is Triadelphia, West Virginia. The superintendent is Tim Gray. Approximate start date: Aug. 1.

Snelson Cos. Inc. was awarded a contract by Williams Northwest Pipeline for hydrotesting approximately 9,610 ft of 22-in. pipeline and station modifications in Payette County, Idaho, and the hydrotesting of approximately 9,821 ft of 22-in. pipeline and station modifications in Baker County, Oregon. Headquarters are in Baker City, Oregon and New Plymouth, Idaho. The superintendent is Hank Sullivent. Approximate start date: July 31.

InterCon Construction Inc. was awarded a contract by Minnesota Limited LLC to install approximately 2,600 ft of 20-in. pipeline via horizontal directional drilling in Montgomery and Green counties, Ohio. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is Ray Kittle. Approximate start date: July 29.
United Piping Inc. was awarded a contract by BP Pipelines to replace an 8-in. pipeline valve in Lucas County, Ohio. Headquarters is Oregon, Ohio. The superintendent is Jim Bailer. Approximate start date: July 29.

Penn Line Service Inc. was awarded a contract by Integrity Kokosing for hydroseeding on approximately 5 miles of 12- and 20-in. pipeline right-of-way in Greene County, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is Scottdale, Pennsylvania. The superintendent is Jim Pratt. Approximate start date: July 22.

T.G. Mercer Consulting Services Inc. was awarded a contract by Enterprise for the offloading of approximately 17,309 ft of 16-in. pipe and 5,755 ft of 20-in. pipe in Fort Bend County, Texas. Headquarters is Willow Park, Texas. The superintendent is Larry Rodriquez. Approximate start date: July 18.

Hanging H Cos. LLC was awarded a contract by TransCanada to install a new fuel heater, lube oil cooler and 4- and 1 ½-in. piping in Boundary County, Idaho. Headquarters is Bonners Ferry, Idaho. The superintendent is Trevor Thayer. Approximate start date: July 17.

United Piping Inc. was awarded a contract by Enbridge to install various 2-in. pipeline fittings at stations in Goshen County, Wyoming and Thayer County, Nebraska. Headquarters is on the jobsites. The superintendent is Robert Gall. Approximate start date: July 16.

Aaron Enterprises Inc. was awarded a contract by Infrasource LLC to install approximately 1,000 ft of an undetermined diameter of pipeline via horizontal directional drilling in Frederick County, Virginia. Headquarters is York, Pennsylvania. The superintendent is Earl Travis. Approximate start date: July 15.

Associated Pipe Line Contractors Inc. was awarded a contract by Columbia Gas Transmission/ TransCanada LLC Line 134 Project for the pick up and relay of approximately 22,250 ft of 10-in. pipeline in Butler, Armstrong and Clarion counties, Pennsylvania.
