North American Pipeline Project Roundup: January/February 2020

Project Roundup is a monthly feature that summarizes the contracts awarded for pipeline projects in North America. The following oil and gas pipeline projects have been announced. Projects are in order of most recent approximate starting date. All projects are for 2020 unless noted.

Dun Transportation & Stringing Inc. was awarded a contract by Kinder Morgan to haul and stockpile an undetermined amount of pipe in Kimble, Blanco and Gonzalez counties, Texas. Headquarters are the pipe yards. The superintendents are Mike Bruce and Lance Conner. Approximate start date: Dec. 16, 2019.

Maxx HDD LLC was awarded a contract by WHC Inc. to install approximately 1,500 ft of 30-in. pipeline via horizontal directional drilling in Walker County, Texas. Headquarters is Huntsville, Texas. The superintendent is Carlton Loftin. Approximate start date: Dec. 16, 2019.

Pe Ben USA Inc. was awarded a contract by Kinder Morgan Logistics for the offloading of approximately 5.3 miles of 24-in. pipe in Colorado County, Texas. Headquarters is Eagle Lake, Texas. The superintendent is Blake Culp. Approximate start date: Dec. 16, 2019.

Henkels & McCoy Inc. was awarded a contract by Buckeye Partners LP for coating repairs on a 18-in. pipeline in two locations in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The superintendent is John MacCoy. Approximate start date: Dec. 9, 2019.

Henkels & McCoy Inc. has been was awarded contracts by TC Energy to install cathodic protection on 20-in. pipeline rights-of-way in Kanawha and Jackson counties, West Virginia and Pike County, Kentucky. Headquarters are Liberty, West Virginia, Ripley, West Virginia and Ransom, Kentucky. The superintendent is Robert Nelms. Approximate start date: Dec. 9, 2019.

Pe Ben USA Inc. was awarded a contract by Enterprise Products for the offloading and stockpiling of approximately 49 miles of 20-, 24- and 30-in. pipe in Panola County, Texas. Headquarters is Carthage, Texas. The superintendent is to be determined. Approximate start date: Dec. 5, 2019.

The Hillis Group LLC was awarded a contract by Henkels & McCoy Inc. the removal of a temporary bridge, abutments, mats and turbidity curtains on an undetermined length of pipeline right-of-way in Union County, New Jersey. Minnesota Limited LLC was awarded a contract by TC Energy for the hydrotesting of various size 4- to 12-in. pipelines in Vinton County, Ohio. Headquarters is McArthur, Ohio. The superintendent is Preston Steenburgen. Approximate start date: Oct. 22, 2019.
