North American Pipeline Project Roundup: April 2020

Project Roundup is a monthly feature that summarizes the contracts awarded for pipeline projects in North America. The following oil and gas pipeline projects have been announced. Projects are in order of most recent approximate starting date. All projects are for 2020 unless noted.

Intercon Construction Inc. was awarded a contract by Ameren Illinois for 24-in. pipeline station work including pigging in Peoria, Warren and McDonough counties Wisconsin. Headquarters is unknown. The superintendent is Troy Heath. Approximate start date: May 11.

Infrasource LLC was awarded a contract by NIPSCO for the removal of casings on 12- to 30-in. pipelines at various locations in Lake, Fulton, LaPorte and St. Joseph counties, Indiana. Headquarters is Columbia City, Indiana. The superintendent is Clark De Groot. Approximate start date: March 16.

Macki Pipeline Logistics LLC was awarded a contract by U.S. Pipeline Inc. for the offloading, hauling, stockpiling and stringing of approximately 18.6 miles of 36-in. pipe in Jackson, Gallia and Lawrence counties, Ohio. Headquarters is Jackson, Ohio. The superintendent is Kevin Ekleberry. Approximate start date: March 2.

Right-of-Way Clearing & Maintenance Inc. was awarded a contract by Snelson Companies Inc. for the clearing on approximately 4.9 miles of 20-in. and 4,000 ft of 12-in. pipeline in Davidson County, Tennessee. Headquarters is Whites Creek, Tennessee. The superintendent is Rick Brown. Approximate start date: March 2.

U.S. Pipeline Inc. was awarded a contract by TC Energy (Columbia Gas Transmission LLC) to install approximately 18.6 miles of 36-in. pipeline in Jackson, Gallia and Lawrence counties, Ohio. Headquarters is Vinton, Ohio. The superintendent is Cliff Sinclair. Approximate start date: March 2.

Apex Pipeline Services Inc. was awarded a contract by TC Energy for the fabrication, installation and maintenance of multiple stations including piping of 2- to 42-in. pipe in Vinton, Jackson and Lawrence counties, Ohio. Headquarters is Oak Hill, Ohio. The superintendent is Eric Creel. Approximate start date: Feb. 26.

Northern Clearing Inc. was awarded a contract by Minnesota Limited LLC for the clearing of approximately 31.5 miles of 36-in. pipeline right-of-way in Franklin and Anderson counties, Kansas. Headquarters is to be determined. The superintendent is Patrick Wolfe. Approximate start date: Feb. 26.

Snelson Companies Inc. was awarded a contract by Piedmont Natural Gas (Duke) to install approximately 4.9 miles of 20-in. pipeline, installation of approximately 1 mile of 12-in. pipeline, and the removal of an undetermined length of 8-in. pipeline in Davidson County, Tennessee. Headquarters is Whites Creek, Tennessee. The superintendent is Andy Hostetter. Approximate start date: Feb. 26.

Lone Star Directional Drilling LLP was awarded a contract by Rockford Corporation for 21 directional drills on a 36-in. pipeline in Brazoria, Fort bend and Harris counties, Texas. Headquarters is Rosharon, Texas. The superintendent is Justin McDaniel. Approximate start date: Feb. 24.

Northern Clearing Inc. was awarded a contract by Precision Pipeline LLC for clearing on approximately 13 miles of 24-in. pipeline right-of-way in Jo Davies County, Illinois. Headquarters is to be determined. The superintendent is Jim Junker. Approximate start date: Feb. 24.

Pe Ben USA Inc. was awarded a contract by Precision Pipeline LLC for the hauling and stockpiling of approximately 13 miles of 24-in. pipe in Lake County, Indiana. Headquarters is Schererville, Indiana. The superintendent is Tim Gray. Approximate start date: Feb. 24.

T.G. Mercer Consulting Services Inc. was awarded a contract by Phillips 66 for the loadout of approximately 31,500 ft of 12-in. and 2,000 ft of 20-in. pipe in Live Oak County, Texas, and the offloading of approximately 102,750 ft of 12” and 2,000 ft of 20-in. pipe inn Ward County, Texas. Headquarters is Willow Park, Texas. The superintendent is Larry Rodriguez. Approximate start date: Feb. 24.

Northern Clearing Inc. was awarded a contract by Minnesota Limited LLC for the hand felling of timber on approximately 5 miles of 36-in. pipeline right-of-way in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is to be determined. The superintendent is Jerry Meyer. Approximate start date:

Pe Ben USA Inc. was awarded a contract by Pumpco for the hauling of approximately 173.98 miles of 42-in. pipe in Crockett, Schleicher, Kimble and Gillespie counties, Texas. Headquarters are Barnhardt, Texas and Junction, Texas. The superintendent is Trey Stokes. Approximate start date: Feb. 20.

Pe Ben USA Inc. was awarded a contract by Rockford Corporation for the loading, hauling and stringing of approximately 79.8 miles of 36-in. pipe in San Saba, Burnet and Williamson counties, Texas. Headquarters is Florence, Texas. The superintendent is Toby Prawl. Approximate start date: Feb. 20.

United Piping Inc. was awarded a contract by TC Energy for piping modifications on two 36-in. compressors in Boundary County, Idaho. Headquarters is Eastport, Idaho. The superintendent is Mark Thomson. Approximate start date: Feb. 20.

Ace Pipeline Inc. was awarded a contract by Antero Midstream LLC to install approximately 18,750 ft of 20-in. pipeline in Tyler County, West Virginia. Headquarters is Salem, West Virginia. The superintendent is Jeremy Phillips. Approximate start date: Feb. 19.

Dun Transportation & Stringing Inc. was awarded a contract by Denbury for the offloading, hauling, and stockpiling of approximately 127 miles of 12-in. pipe and pipe yard construction in Bowman County, North Dakota, Butte County, South Dakota, and Fallon and Carter counties, Montana. Headquarters are the pipe yards. The superintendent is Johnny Denton. Approximate start date: Feb. 17.

Lone Star Directional Drilling LLP was awarded a contract by Maxx HDD LLC for 10 horizontal directional drills on a 20-in. pipeline in Chambers County, Texas. Headquarters is Wallisville, Texas. The superintendent is Jason McDaniel. Approximate start date: Feb. 17.

T.G. Mercer Consulting Services Inc. was awarded a contract by Double E Pipeline LLC for the offloading from rail and racking of approximately 448,800 ft of 42-in. pipe in Ward County, Texas. Headquarters is Willow Park, Texas. The superintendent is Larry Rodriguez. Approximate start date: Feb. 17.

T.G. Mercer Consulting Services Inc. was awarded a contract by Atmos for the offloading from trucks and racking of approximately 34,000 ft of 24-in. pipeline in Hood County, Texas. Headquarters is Willow Park, Texas. The superintendent is Larry Rodriguez. Approximate start date: Feb. 10.

United Piping Inc. was awarded a contract by BP Pipelines for integrity digs on an 8-in. pipeline in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. Headquarters is Cleveland, Ohio. The superintendent is Jim Bailer. Approximate start date: Feb. 5.

Apex Pipeline Services Inc. was awarded a contract by MarkWest/MPLX to install approximately 8 miles of 20-in. steel pipeline in Marshall County, West Virginia. Headquarters is Glen Dale, West Virginia. The superintendent is Roman McKnown. Approximate start date: Feb. 3.

BluRoc LLC was awarded a contract by Rockford Corp. for clearing, matting and fencing on approximately 7.59 miles of 42-in. pipeline right-of-way in Price William and Fauquier counties, Virginia. Headquarters is Catlett, Virginia. The superintendent is Jay Pelley. Approximate start date: Feb. 3.

Pe Ben USA Inc. was awarded a contract by Pumpco for the hauling of approximately 98.57 miles of 36-in. pipe in Concho, McCulloch, Sa Saba, Brown and Tom Green counties, Texas. Headquarters is Brownwood, Texas. The superintendent is Larry Tate. Approximate start date: Feb. 3.

Right-of-Way Clearing & Maintenance Inc. was awarded a contract by Apex Pipeline for the clearing on approximately 21.94 miles of 20-in. pipeline right-of-way in Wetzel and Marshall counties, West Virginia. United Piping Inc. was awarded a contract by Enbridge for erosion repair on a 30-in. pipeline in Ashland County, Wisconsin. Headquarters is Sanborn, Wisconsin. The superintendent is Mike Arneson. Approximate start date: Jan. 29.

United Piping Inc. was awarded a contract by Enbridge Energy for the replacement of approximately 1.32 miles of 20-in. pipeline, including 4,000 ft of horizontal directional drilling, in Madison County, Illinois and St. Charles, Missouri. Headquarters is Hartford, Illinois. The superintendent is Robert Gall. Approximate start date: Jan. 28.
