North American Pipeline Project Roundup: April 2018

Project Roundup: The following oil and gas pipeline projects have been announced. Projects are in order of most recent approximate starting date. All projects are for 2018 unless noted.

InfraSource LLC was awarded a contract by Buckeye Partners to install approximately 1,500 ft of 14- and 18-in. pipeline, to install an interconnect, 10- to 20-in. pipeline replacements, valve replacements, other station modifications and the hydrotesting of approximately 200 miles of 10- to 18-in. pipelines in Alleghany, Beaver, Blair, Cambria and Westmoreland counties, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is Greensburg, Pennsylvania. The superintendent is Billy Burlson. Approximate start date: March 19.

Minnesota Limited LLC was awarded a contract by Vectren for the take-up and relay of approximately 15,400 ft of 20-in. pipeline and the replacement of five valves in Green County, Ohio. Headquarters is Xenia, Ohio. The superintendent is Gary Hawk. Approximate start date: March 19.

Tom Allen Construction was awarded a contract by Price Gregory International Inc. to install approximately 4,219 ft of 20-in. pipeline via three horizontal directional drills in Franklin and Fairfield counties, Ohio. Headquarters is Collinsville, Illinois. The superintendent is Brad Tincher. Approximate start date: March 17.

Pe Ben USA Inc. was awarded a contract by Berg for the offloading from rail, hauling and stockpiling of approximately 14.77 miles of 30-in. pipe in Nueces County, Texas. Headquarters is Corpus Christi, Texas. The superintendent is Cody Phillips. Approximate start date: March 14.

Henkels & McCoy Inc. was awarded a contract by Williams Transcontinental for the excavation and cut out of a 12-in. smart pig from a pipeline in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is undetermined. The superintendent is Glenn Barwicki. Approximate start date: March 12.

InterCon Construction Inc. was awarded a contract by J Wood Pipeline to install approximately 1,500 ft of 24-in. pipeline via horizontal directional drilling in Doddridge County, West Virginia. Headquarters is the jobsite. The superintendent is Joe Schmelzer. Approximate start date: March 12.

Minnesota Limited LLC was awarded a contract by NiSource to install approximately 74,000 ft of 24-in. pipeline in Lake and Porter counties, Indiana. Headquarters is Gary, Indiana. The superintendent is James Redmond. Approximate start date: March 12.

Pe Ben USA Inc. was awarded a contract by Dominion for the loadout from stockpile of approximately 139.5 miles of 30- and 42-in. pipe in Monongalia County, West Virginia. Headquarters is Morgantown, West Virginia. The superintendent is Jimmy Gregory. Approximate start date: March 12.

Rockford Corp. was awarded a contract by Florida Southeast Connection LLC for the unloading of fabrication materials for the Okeechobee Lateral Project in Okeechobee and Indian River counties in Florida. Headquarters is Okeechobee, Florida. The superintendent is Cole Henson. Approximate start date: March 12.

Price Gregory International Inc. was awarded a contract by Columbia Gas Transmission Inc. for the take-up and relay of approximately 14 miles of 20-in. pipeline, the installation of approximately 7.6 miles of 20-in. pipeline; the abandonment of 17.5 miles of 20-in. pipeline; and the installation of approximately 0.6 miles of 4-in. pipeline in Fairfield and Franklin counties, Ohio. Headquarters is to be determined. The superintendent is Jack Burch. Approximate start date: TBD (announced March 12).

InfraSource LLC was awarded a contract by Columbia Gas of Virginia for the replacement of approximately 9,500 ft of 12-in. pipeline and two stations in Manassas County, Virginia. Headquarters is Manassas, Virginia. The superintendent is Matt Ranson. Approximate start date: March 9.

Henkels & McCoy Inc. was awarded a contract by Buckeye Partners LP for the replacement of approximately 1,000 ft of 10-in. pipeline in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is Hopewell Township, Pennsylvania. The superintendent is Mike Ford. Approximate start date: March 7.

Associated Pipe Line Contractors Inc. was awarded a contract by Columbia Gas Transmission LLC to install approximately 23.4 miles of 36-in. pipeline in Doddridge and Ritchie counties, West Virginia. Headquarters is Ellenboro, West Virginia. The superintendent is Joseph (Byron) Johnson. Approximate start date: March 5.

Henkels & McCoy Inc. was awarded contracts by TransCanada to: 1.) install approximately 23 miles of 36-in. pipeline in Jackson and Putnam counties, West Virginia. Headquarters is Ripley, West Virginia. The superintendent is Marty Moss; and 2.) install approximately 17 miles of 36-in. pipeline in Cabell, Mason and Putnam counties, West Virginia. Headquarters is Hurricane, West Virginia. The superintendent is Kenny Sweetin. Approximate start date: March 5 (for both projects).

Minnesota Limited LLC was awarded a contract by Vectren to install various size pipeline fabrication, integrity maintenance work and 10- to 16-in. pipeline hydrotesting in Monroe and Lawrence counties, Indiana. Headquarters is Bloomington, Indiana. The superintendent is Tommy Alexander. Approximate start date: March 5.

Northern Clearing Inc. was awarded a contract by Price Gregory International Inc. or the clearing of approximately 20 miles of 36-in. pipeline right-of-way in Ritchie, Calhoun and Wirt counties, West Virginia. Headquarters is unknown. The superintendent is unknown. Approximate start date: March 5.

Phillips & Jordan Inc. was awarded a contract by Minnesota Limited LLC for the clearing and grubbing of approximately 4.86 miles of 20-in. pipeline right-of-way in Harrison County, Ohio. Headquarters is Hopedale, Ohio. The superintendent is James “Bucky” Lane. Approximate start date: March 5.

Q3 Contracting Inc. was awarded a contract by Alliant Energy for gate station and DRS site work, pipe support installation, pressure testing, installation of farm taps and test stations and the final pressure testing of a 4-in. pipeline in Louisa County, Iowa. Headquarters is Columbus Junction, Iowa. The superintendents are Troy Nelson and Doug Reeves. Approximate start date: March 5.

Price Gregory International Inc. was awarded a contract by Columbia Gas Transmission Inc. to install approximately 30.3 miles of 36-in. pipeline in Jackson, Roane and Wirt counties, West Virginia. Headquarters is to be determined. The superintendent is Terry McDaniel. Approximate start date: TBD (announced March 5).

Right-of-Way Clearing & Maintenance Inc. was awarded a contract by Michels Corp. for clearing on approximately 8,500 ft of 36-in. pipeline right-of-way in Marshall County. Headquarters is Moundsville, West Virginia. The superintendent is Scott Brown. Approximate start date: March 1.

B&N Clearing and Environmental LLC was awarded a contract by Price Gregory International Inc. for clearing on approximately 39.97 miles of 20-in. pipeline right of way in Franklin and Fairfield counties, Ohio. Headquarters is not yet determined. The superintendent is Kevin Newcomb. Approximate start date: Feb. 28.

Letourneau Enterprises LLC was awarded a contract by Precision Pipeline LLC for the clearing, grubbing and matting of approximately 8.5 miles of 36-in. pipeline right of way for the Millennium Huguenot Loop Project in Orange County, New York. Headquarters is Middletown, New York. The superintendent is Timothy J. Garber. Approximate start date: Feb. 26.

Pe Ben USA Inc. was awarded a contract by American Cast Iron Pipe Company for the offloading, hauling and stockpiling of approximately 5.3 miles of 20-in. pipe in Indian River and Okeechobee counties, Florida. Headquarters is Gifford, Florida. The superintendent is Jimmy Gregory. Approximate start date: Feb. 26.

Penn Line Service Inc. was awarded a contract by Integrity Kokosing Pipeline Services for the hydroseeding of approximately 1,700 ft of 10-in. pipeline right-of-way in Preston County, West Virginia. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is Shawn McCarty. Approximate start date: Feb. 26.

Rockford Corp. was awarded a contract by Florida Southeast Connection LLC to install approximately 5.1 miles of 20-in. pipeline and a meter station in Okeechobee and Indian River counties, Florida. Headquarters is Okeechobee, Florida. The superintendent is Cole Henson. Approximate start date: Feb. 26.

United Piping Inc. was awarded a contract by BP US Pipelines for an integrity dig on a 26-in. pipeline in Piatt County, Illinois for an undetermined number of miles. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is Jim Bailer. Approximate start date: Feb. 26.

Earth Pipeline Services Inc. was awarded a contract by Welded Construction LP for the clearing, grubbing and matting of approximately 19 miles of 36-in. pipeline right-of-way on the Mountaineer Xpress Project in Wetzel and Marshall counties, West Virginia. Headquarters is New Martinsville, West Virginia. The superintendent is Kevin Berryman. Approximate start date: Feb. 19.

Henkels & McCoy, Inc. was awarded a contract for shop maintenance work in Birdsboro, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is Birdsboro, Pennsylvania. The superintendent is Dave Csepegi. Approximate start date: Feb. 19.

InterCon Construction Inc. was awarded a contract by Enbridge for welding services on 4-in. pipelines in Lake County, Indiana. Headquarters is Griffith, Indiana. The superintendent is Matt Ruskosky. Approximate start date: Feb. 19.

United Piping Inc. was awarded a contract by Enbridge to install cathodic protection and a linear ground bed on 1,200 ft of 34-in. pipeline in DuPage County, Illinois. Headquarters is to be determined. The superintendent is Joe Bailer. Approximate start date: Feb. 19.

InterCon Construction Inc. was awarded a contract by Blue Flame Pipeline to install 2,400 ft of 30-in. pipeline via horizontal directional drilling in Doddridge County, West Virginia. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is Justin Eads. Approximate start date: Feb. 12.

Snelson Companies Inc. was awarded a contract by Xcel Energy for the take-up and relay of approximately 3,784 ft of 16-in. pipeline in Dakota County, Minnesota. Headquarters is Lakeville, Minnesota. The superintendent is William Hank Sullivent. Approximate start date: Feb. 12.
