North American Pipeline Project Roundup

The following oil and gas pipeline projects have been announced. Projects are in order of most recent approximate starting date. All projects are for 2016 unless noted.

T.G Mercer Consulting Services Inc. was awarded a contract by Jindal for the offloading and racking of approximately 33 miles of 30-in. pipe in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. The superintendent is Michael Magee. Approximate start date: March 14.

InfraSource LLC was awarded contracts by Ameren Illinois for the following: 1) to install approximately 1,150 ft of 8-in. pipeline in Peoria County, Illinois; and 2) to install approximately 680 ft of 6-in. pipeline in Madison County, Illinois. Headquarters for both projects is Litchfield, Illinois. The superintendent for both projects is Clark DeGroot. Approximate start date: 1) Feb. 22 and 2) March 7.

Northern Clearing Inc. was awarded a contract by Precision Pipeline LLC for the hand felling of trees on approximately 318 miles of 30-in. pipeline right of way in Hancock County, Illinois, and Lee, Van Buren, Jefferson, Wapello, Keokuk, Mahaska, Jasper, Polk, Story, Boone, Webster, Calhoun, Sac, Buena Vista and Cherokee counties, Iowa. Headquarters is to be determined. The superintendent is James Junker Jr. Approximate start date: March 1.

Snelson Cos. Inc. was awarded contracts by Pacific Gas & Electric for the following: 1) hydro-testing approximately 2.6 miles of 12-in. pipeline in Stanislaus County, California. Headquarters is Modesto, California. The superintendent is David Wix; and 2) replacing and hydro-testing approximately 300 ft of 34-in. pipeline in San Bernardino County, California. Headquarters is Hinkley, California. The superintendent is Lou McMullen. Approximate start date: 1) Feb. 29 and 2) Feb. 22.

Minnesota Limited LLC was awarded a contract by Enterprise to install sleeves on 16- and 12-in. pipelines in Union, Alexander and Will Counties, Illinois. Headquarters is in Evansville, Illinois. The superintendent is Greg Frazier. Approximate start date: Feb. 23.

Letourneau Enterprises LLC was awarded a contract by MPG Pipeline Contractors LLC for clearing and fencing on approximately 112.5 miles of 20-in. pipeline right of way in Lincoln, Creek, Okmulgee, Muskogee, Haskell and LeFlore counties, Oklahoma. Headquarters is Okmulgee, Oklahoma. The superintendent is Larry Cassidy. Approximate start date: Feb. 22.

Pe Ben USA Inc. was awarded contracts by Williams for the following: 1) offloading and stockpiling of approximately 7.5 miles of 30-in. pipe, 53.1 miles of 24-in. pipe, 55.5 miles of 20-in. pipe and 2.4 miles of 16-in. pipe in Coweta and Gordon counties, Georgia. Headquarters is Newnan and Calhoun, Georgia. The superintendent is Gregory Michel; and 2) for the offloading and stockpiling of approximately 139.1 miles of 42-in. pipe, 3 miles of 36-in. pipe and 58.4 miles of 30-in. pipe in Tobyhanna, Lebanon and Schuylkill Counties, Pennsylvania and Prince Williams County, Virginia. Headquarters are Blakeslee, Lebanon and Tremont, Pennsylvania and Manassas, Virginia. The superintendent is Jimmy Gregory. Approximate start date: Feb. 22 (both projects).

C.J. Hughes Pipeline was awarded a contract by EQT Midstream to install approximately 7.8 miles of 24-in. pipeline in Greene and Washington counties, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is Prosperity, Pennsylvania. The superintendent is Chuck Barnett. Approximate start date: Feb. 15.

Northern Clearing Inc. was awarded a contract by Price Gregory International Inc. for bat tree removal and the hand felling of trees on 25 miles of 36-in. pipeline right of way in Washington County, Pennsylvania. The headquarters is to be determined. The superintendent is Jim Junker Sr. Approximate start date: Feb. 15.

Foltz Welding Ltd. (d/b/a Continental Pipeline Services) was awarded a contract by Marathon Pipeline for the replacement of approximately 1,600 ft of 26-in. pipeline in Johnson County, Illinois, and Marshall County, Mississippi. Headquarters is Vienna, Illinois. The superintendent is Kevin Cain. Approximate start date: Feb. 15.

Cogar Right-of-Way Clearing LLC was awarded a contract by Associated Pipe Line Contractors Inc. for the hand felling of trees on approximately 30 miles of pipeline right of way in Blair and Huntington counties, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is to be determined. The superintendent is Charlie Cochran. Approximate start date: Feb. 13.

Phillips & Jordan Inc. was awarded a contract by Welded Construction LP for the hand felling of trees on approximately 5.5 miles of 20-in. right of way in Allegheny, Washington and Westmoreland counties, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is to be determined. The superintendent is Mark Smith. Approximate start date: Feb. 12.

InterCon Construction Inc. was awarded a contract by Ace Pipeline/EQT to install approximately 4,000 ft of 30-in. pipeline via horizontal directional drilling in Wetzel County, West Virginia, and Monroe County, Ohio. Headquarters is on the jobsites. The superintendent is John Olson. Approximate start date: Feb. 8.

MDS Boring and Drilling Inc. was awarded a contract by Troy Construction for road boring and directional drilling on approximately 79 miles of 12-in. pipeline in Brazoria, Harris, Chambers and Liberty Counties, Texas. Headquarters is Angleton, Texas. The superintendent is Randy Cassell. Approximate start date: Feb. 8.

Sheehan Pipe Line Construction Co. was awarded a contract by Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Company for the non-mechanized hand felling of trees on approximately 21.58 miles of pipeline right of way in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is to be determined. The superintendent is Cotton Jordan. Approximate start date: Feb. 8.

Snelson Companies Inc. was awarded a contract by Southern California Gas Co. for the replacement of approximately 3 miles of 16-in. pipeline in Fresno County, California. Headquarters is to be determined. The superintendent is Cory Vander Voorden. Approximate start date: Feb. 8.

Northern Clearing Inc. was awarded a contract by Precision Pipeline LLC for bat tree removal and hand tree felling on approximately 157 miles of 30-in. pipeline right of way in Marion, Fayette, Montgomery, Macoupin, Morgan, Scott, Pike, Brown, Schuyler, Adams and Hancock counties, Illinois. Minnesota Limited LLC was awarded a contract by Vectren for emergency call out work covering Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. Headquarters is Evansville, Indiana. The superintendent is Greg Frazier. Approximate start date: Jan. 30.

Apex Pipeline Services Inc. was awarded a contract by Columbia Gas to install fabrication on various sizes of pipelines in Putnam County, West Virginia. Headquarters is Nitro, West Virginia. The superintendent is Bob Keaton. Approximate start date: Jan. 25.

Henkels & McCoy Inc. was awarded a contract by Constitution Pipeline/Williams Transco to install approximately 77.11 miles of 30-in. pipeline in Bainbridge, Davenport, Franklin, Harpersfield, Masonville and Sidney townships, and Schoharie County, New York. Headquarters is Oneonta, New York. The superintendent is Scott Schoenherr. Approximate start date: Jan. 25.

Latex Construction Company was awarded a contract by PSNC of SCANA to install approximately 25 miles of 20-in. pipeline including the take-up of approximately 15 miles of 8-in. pipeline in Buncombe, Henderson and Polk counties, North Carolina. Headquarters is Hendersonville, North Carolina. The superintendent is Mike Hamilton. Approximate start date: Jan. 25.

Phillips & Jordan Inc. was awarded a contract by Henkels & McCoy Inc. for the felling of timber on approximately 77.11 miles of 30-in. pipeline in Bainbridge, Davenport, Franklin, Harpersfield, Masonville and Sidney Townships and Schoharie County, New York. Headquarters are the jobsites. The superintendent is James Lane Jr. Approximate start date: Jan. 25.

Indianhead Pipeline Services LLC was awarded a contract by Precision Pipeline LLC to provide seeding services on approximately 134 miles of 30-in. pipeline in Freestone, Leon, Houston, Walker and San Jacinto counties, Texas. Headquarters is on the jobsites. The superintendent is Brian Proud. Approximate start date: Jan. 22.

Apex Pipeline Services Inc. was awarded a contract by Consol Energy for the replacement of approximately 120 ft of 20-in. plastic pipeline in Greene County, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is Wind Ridge, Pennsylvania. The superintendent is Eric Creel. Approximate start date: Jan. 20.
