North American Pipeline Project Roundup

PLCA-LogoThe following oil and gas pipeline projects have been announced. Projects are in order of most recent approximate starting date. All projects are for 2015 unless noted.

Lunda Construction Co. was awarded contracts by U.S. Pipeline Inc. for the following: 1) to install sheet piling at various locations on approximately 75.8 miles of 24-in. pipeline in Christian, Fayette, Macon, Marion and Shelby counties, Illinois. Headquarters is Decatur, Illinois. The superintendent is Ken Dombrowski; and 2) to install sheet piling at various locations on approximately 92.4 miles of 24-in. pipeline in De Witt, Livingston, Macon and McLean counties, Illinois. Headquarters is Bloomington, Illinois. The superintendent is Ken Dombrowski. Approximate start dates: 1) July 20 and 2) Aug. 3.

Henkels & McCoy Inc. was awarded a contract by Algonquin Gas Transmission/Spectra Energy to install approximately 15.6 miles of 42-in. pipeline and the removal and abandonment of approximately 13.3 miles of 26-in. pipeline in Rockland and Westchester counties, New York. Headquarters is Montrose, New York. The superintendent is Chad Simmons. Approximate start date: Aug. 1.

Lunda Construction Co. was awarded a contract by InterCon Construction Inc. to install approximately 160 ft of 36-in. pipeline in Ingham, Michigan. Headquarters is Stockbridge, Michigan. The superintendent is Mark Jochman. Approximate start date: July 20.

Penn Line Services Inc. was awarded contracts by Price Gregory International Inc. for the following: 1) hydro-seeding on approximately 9.75 miles of 24-in. pipeline in Susquehanna and Wyoming counties, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania. The superintendent is Butch Teats; and 2) hydro-seeding on approximately 10 miles of 24-in. pipeline in Bradford, Lycoming and Tioga counties, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is Montoursville, Pennsylvania. The superintendent is Butch Teats. Approximate start dates: 1) July 6 and 2) July 20.

Pipeline Energy Group Inc. (d/b/a Carl Smith Pipeline) was awarded a contract by Eureka Hunter Pipeline LLC to install approximately 3,000 ft of 16-in. pipeline via horizontal directional drilling and associated tie-ins in Ritchie County, West Virginia. Headquarters is to be determined. The
superintendent is Dave Riffle. Approximate start date: July 15.

Q3 Contracting Inc. was awarded a contract by British Petroleum for the rerouting of approximately 2,000 ft of 20- and 16-in. pipeline including two 300-ft casings in King County, Washington. Headquarters is Bellevue, Washington. The superintendent is Jeff Elliott. Approximate start date: July 13.

Henkels & McCoy Inc. was awarded a contract by Columbia Pipeline Group for cutouts and abandonment on approximately 18 miles of 24-in. pipeline m Greene and Washington counties, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is Washington, Pennsylvania. The superintendent is Rusty McLellan. Approximate start date: July 7.

Welded Construction LP was awarded a contract by Williams Gas Pipeline/Transco for weld investigations on approximately 92 miles of 24-in. pipeline in Brunswick, Charlotte, Halifax, Mecklenburg and Pittsylvania counties, Virginia. Headquarters is La Crosse, Virginia. The superintendent is Al Kunkle. Approximate start date: July 7.

Apex Pipeline Services Inc. was awarded a contract by ICON Midstream to install approximately 5.5 miles of 20-in. pipeline in Tyler County, West Virginia. Headquarters is West Union, West Virginia. The superintendent is Roman McKown. Approximate start date: July 6.

BigInch Fabricators and Construction Inc. was awarded a contract by Panhandle Eastern to install two mainline taps, a 20-in. meter station inlet, a meter skid and two 16-in. meter run outlets to taps in Grant County, Indiana. Headquarters is Fairmount, Indiana. The superintendent is Jim Shepler. Approximate start date: July 6.

Foltz Welding Ltd. was awarded a contract by Marathon to install approximately 350 ft of 10-in. pipeline via horizontal directional drilling in Fayette County, Illinois. Headquarters is Vandalia, Illinois. The superintendent is Joe Pennington. Approximate start date: July 6.

Foltz Welding Ltd. was awarded a contract by Marathon to install approximately 1,200 ft of 12-in. pipeline, including a launcher and a receiver and approximately 500 ft of 2-, 4-, 6- and 8-in. drain lines in Madison County, Illinois. Headquarters is Hartford, Illinois. The superintendent is Joe Pennington. Approximate start date: July 6.

Global Energy Solutions was awarded a contract by Michels Corp. for the clearing of approximately 13 miles of 30-in. pipeline right of way in Harrison and Jefferson counties, Ohio. Headquarters is Cadiz, Ohio. The superintendent is Wayne McKay. Approximate start date: July 6.

Indianhead Pipeline Services LLC was awarded a contract by U.S. Pipeline Inc. for the concrete coating of approximately 4,800 ft of 24-in. pipe in Christian and McLean counties, Illinois. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is Greg Patrow. Approximate start date: July 6.

InfraSource LLC was awarded a contract by Enbridge to install cathodic protection and AC mitigation material in DeWitt, Livingston, Macon, McLean and Shelby counties, Illinois. Headquarters is Litchfield, lllinois. The superintendent is Paul Gotto. Approximate start date: July 6.

Phillips & Jordan Inc. was awarded a contract by Rockford Corp. for the clearing and grubbing of approximately 6.78 miles of 16-in. pipeline right of way in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is Montrose, Pennsylvania. The superintendent is James “Bucky” Lane.

Rodenberg Diversified LLC was awarded a contract by Southern Star for 1) the replacement and hydro-testing of approximately 14 ft of 20-in. pipeline, retirement and replacement of approximately 40 ft of 20-in. pipeline and pressure testing of approximately 2.4 miles of 10-in. pipeline in Jasper County, Missouri; 2) the pressure testing of approximately 1,425 ft of various 6-in. and smaller pipelines in Cherokee County, Kansas; and 3) the hydro-testing of approximately 4,217 ft of 30-in. pipeline in Franklin County, Kansas. Headquarters is on the jobsites. The superintendent is Charles Rodenberg. Approximate start date: July 6.

Snelson Cos. Inc. was awarded a contract by Williams Northwest for the replacement of approximately 85 ft of 10-in. pipeline and the removal and installation of two 30-in. mainline valves in King and Pierce counties, Washington. Headquarters is Fort Lewis, Washington. The superintendent is Greg Wright. Approximate start date: July 6.

Apex Pipeline Services Inc. was awarded a contract by MarkWest to install approximately 2,500 ft of 24-in. pipeline and approximately 5,000 ft of 6-in. pipeline in Wetzel County, West Virginia. Headquarters is Mobley, West Virginia. The superintendent is Cecil Hill. Approximate start date: July 1.

Brandenburg Drainage Inc. was awarded a contract by U.S. Pipeline Inc. for drain tile restoration in Christian, DeWitt, Fayette, Livingston, Macon, McLean, Marion and Shelby counties, Illinois. Indianhead Pipeline Services LLC was awarded a contract by Price Gregory International Inc. to provide spray foam services on approximately 10 miles of 24-in. pipeline in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. InfraSource LLC was awarded a contract by Ameren Illinois to install a 16- and 24-in. meter run in Peoria County, Illinois. Headquarters IS Litchfield,

Snelson Cos. Inc. was awarded a contract by Southern California Gas Co. for the replacement of approximately 1,600 ft of 16-in. pipeline and the hyrdotesting of approximately 1,600 ft of 10-in. pipeline in Kings, Lemoore and Tiein counties, California. Headquarters is to be determined. The superintendent is Ben Brock. Approximate start date: June 29.
