North American Pipeline Project Roundup

The following oil and gas pipeline projects have been announced. Projects are in order of most recent approximate starting date. All projects are for 2014 unless noted.

R.L. Coolsaet Construction Co. was awarded a contract by DTE Energy for eight anomaly replacements on a 36-in. pipeline in Oakland and Macomb counties, Michigan. Headquarters is unknown. The superintendent is Bart Jeannette. Approximate start date: Oct. 27.

Appalachian Pipeline Contractors LLP was awarded a contract by Piedmont Natural Gas to replace approximately 10 miles of 3- and 4-in. pipeline with 10 miles of 10-in. pipeline in Beaufort and Pitt counties, North Carolina. Headquarters is Greenville, North Carolina. The superintendent is Bobby Rose. Approximate start date: Oct. 26.

Snelson Cos. Inc. was awarded a contract by Blue Racer Midstream to install approximately 16 miles of 10-in. pipeline in Marshall County, West Virginia. Headquarters is Moundsville, West Virginia. The superintendent is Don Cupit. Approximate start date: Oct. 22.

C.J. Hughes Pipeline was awarded a contract by Rice Energy to install approximately 1.4 miles of 12- and 18-in. HDPE pipeline and 1.4 miles of 16-in. steel pipeline in Washington County, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is Chuck Barnett. Approximate start date: Oct. 20.

Michels Corp. was awarded a contract by WBI for integrity work on approximately 400 ft of 8-in. pipeline in Park County, Wyoming. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is Rob Healy. Approximate start date: Oct. 20.

Minnesota Ltd. LLC was awarded a contract by Vectren for the installation of approximately 2.6 miles of 8-in. pipeline in Tippecanoe County, Indiana. Headquarters is Lafayette, Indiana. The superintendent is Greg Frazier. Approximate start date: Oct. 20.

Pe Ben USA Inc. was awarded a contract by Price Gregory International Inc. to stockpile approximately 8,000 ft of 36-in. pipe, fittings and manifolds in Chambers and Harris counties, Texas. Headquarters is Houston. The superintendent is David Wright. Approximate start date: Oct. 20.

Right-of-Way Clearing and Maintenance Inc. was awarded a contract by Precision Pipeline LLC to clear approximately 4.21 miles of 6-, 8- and 10-in. pipeline right of way in Susquehanna and Wyoming counties, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is unknown. The superintendent is Frank Sundry. Approximate start date: Oct. 20.

Rodenberg Diversified LLC was awarded a contract by Southern Star to reclaim approximately 150 ft of 16-in. casing in Shawnee County, Kansas. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is Darrin Winter. Approximate start date: Oct. 20.

Dun Transportation and Stringing Inc. was awarded a contract by Evraz/Enbridge for the offloading and stockpiling of approximately 160 miles of 24-in. pipe in McHenry and Ramsey counties, North Dakota. Snelson Cos. Inc. was awarded three contracts by Pacific Gas & Electric Co. (PG&E) for the following: 1) To remove approximately 415 ft of 16-in pipeline in San Joaquin County, California. Headquarters is Manteca, California. The superintendent is David Wix; 2) to replace approximately 150 ft of 16- and 24-in. pipeline in San Joaquin County. Headquarters is Lodi, California. The superintendent is Tony Glenn; and 3) for 10 anomaly digs and recoating on a 34-in. pipeline in Kern, Fresno and San Benito counties, California. Headquarters is unknown. The superintendent is Adam Davison. Approximate start dates: 1) and 3) Oct. 13 and 2) Oct. 14.

Price Gregory International Inc. was awarded a contract by Enbridge Pipelines (FSP) LLC for station modifications, small bore piping modification and punch list items in Allen County, Kansas. Headquarters is Humboldt, Kansas. The superintendent is Larry Wright. Approximate start date: Oct. 13.

U.S. Pipeline Inc. was awarded a contract by Williams for the installation of approximately 2.35 miles of 20-in. pipeline including horizontal directional drilling, fabrication and installation of a launcher assembly and a meter and regulator in Middlesex County, New Jersey. The superintendent is Cliff Sinclair. Approximate start date: Oct. 13.

MDS Boring and Drilling Inc. was awarded a contract by Troy Construction for road boring on approximately 98 miles of 24-in. pipeline in Brunswick, Charlotte, Halifax, Mecklenburg and Pittsylvania counties, Virginia. Headquarters is South Boston, Virginia. The superintendent is Grady Keller. Approximate start date: Oct. 8.

Laney Directional Drilling Co. was awarded a contract by Sunland/Shell Garyville Parrafinic Pipeline Project for the installation of approximately 2,900 ft of 30-in. pipeline and 2.49 miles of 12-in. pipeline via directional drilling in St. John the Baptist and St. Charles Parishes, Louisiana. Headquarters is on the jobsites. The superintendent is Shelton Carlisle III. Approximate start date: Oct. 1.

Michels Corp. was awarded a contract by TransCanada for the replacement of approximately 500 ft of 36-in. pipeline including an anomaly repair in Morrow County, Oregon. Headquarters is Boardman, Oregon. The superintendent is Ron Hutchison. Approximate start date: Sept. 30.

Indianhead Pipeline Services Inc. was awarded a contract by Price Gregory International Inc. to provide foam services on approximately 6 miles of 12-in. pipeline in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania. Napp-Greco Co. was awarded a contract by PECO/Exelon Co. for the installation of a new launcher and receiver and the hydrostatic testing of approximately 2 miles of 8-in. pipeline in Chester and Montgomery counties, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is on the jobsites. The superintendent is Randy Betz. Approximate start date: Sept. 22.

Price Gregory International Inc. was awarded a contract by Access Midstream for remedial cleanup on approximately 12.53 miles of pipeline right of way in Sullivan County, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is unknown. The superintendent is Gary Pellham. Approximate start date: Sept. 22.
