North American Pipeline Project Roundup

The following oil and gas pipeline projects have been announced. Projects are in order of most recent approximate starting date. All projects are for 2014 unless noted.

Snelson Cos. Inc. was awarded four contracts by Pacific Gas & Electric Co. (PG&E) as follows: 1) for seven investigation digs on a 12-in. pipeline in Kern County, California. Headquarters is Bakersfield, California. The superintendent is Karl Atwood; 2) for the replacement of approximately 2 miles of 8-in. pipeline and hydrostatic testing on 4.5 miles of 8-in. pipeline in Monterey County, California. Headquarters is Monterey, California. The superintendent is Ed Philley; 3) for the replacement of approximately 2 miles of 16-in. pipeline in Sacramento County, California. Headquarters is Isleton, California. The superintendent is Cory Vandervoorden; and 4) for the replacement of approximately 2.5 miles of 24-in. pipeline in Sacramento County, California. Headquarters is Elk Grove, California. The superintendent is Gary Case. Approximate start dates: 1) Aug. 25; 2) Aug. 25 (replacement project) and Sept. 15 (hydrostatic testing); 3) Aug. 25; and 4) Sept. 2.

Snelson Cos. Inc. was awarded a contract by Southern California Gas Co. for the replacement of approximately 3.6 miles of 24-in. pipeline in Los Angeles County, California. Headquarters is Santa Clarita, California. The superintendent is Greg White. Approximate start date: Aug. 25.

Appalachian Pipeline Contractors LLP was awarded a contract by Piedmont Natural Gas for the replacement of eight road crossings, one railroad crossing and a new station in various counties in North Carolina. Headquarters is unknown. The superintendent is Anthony Campbell. Approximate start date: Aug. 18.

Minnesota Ltd. LLC was awarded a contract by Vectren for integrity management work including hydrostatic testing on approximately 1.6 miles of existing 10-in. pipeline in Hancock County, Indiana. Headquarters is Greenfield, Indiana. The superintendent is Matt Austin. Approximate start date: Aug. 18.

Minnesota Ltd. LLC was awarded a contract by Vectren for integrity management work to include rebuilding three meter and regulator stations in Tippecanoe County, Indiana. Headquarters is Lafayette, Indiana. The superintendent is Paul Lee. Approximate start date: Aug. 18.

BigInch Fabricators and Construction Inc. was awarded a contract by Panhandle Eastern for anomaly repairs on a 22-in. pipeline in Scott County, Illinois. Headquarters is Jacksonville, Illinois. The superintendent is Frank Ayers. Approximate start date: Aug. 15.

MDS Boring and Drilling, Inc. was awarded a contract by Troy Construction for road boring and directional drilling on approximately 9.5 miles of 12-in. pipeline in Karnes County, Texas. Headquarters is Yorktown, Texas. The superintendent is Spencer Laney. Approximate start date: Aug. 15.

Pe Ben USA Inc. was awarded a contract by Enbridge for the hauling of approximately 4,800 ft of 36-in. pipe in Hancock County, Missouri, and stockpiling in Christian and Woodford counties, Illinois. Headquarters is on the jobsites. The superintendent is Gregory Michel. Approximate start date: Aug. 15.

Laney Directional Drilling Co. was awarded a contract by InfraSource LLC/Co1umbia Gas/Donara/Webster Pipeline to install approximately 1,300 ft of 16-in. pipeline via directional drilling in Washington and Westmoreland counties, Pennsylvania. Headquarters are unknown. The superintendent is Oscar Myers. Approximate start date: Aug. 13.

Michels Corp. was awarded a contract by TransCanada to install a 6-in. meter station in Kootenai County, Idaho. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is Jeff Gagnon. Approximate start date: Aug. 12.

Minnesota Ltd. LLC was awarded a contract by Vectren for integrity management work to include take up and re-lay of approximately 300 ft of 6-in. pipeline in Boone County, Indiana. Headquarters is Fayette, Indiana. The superintendent is Tom Alexander. Approximate start date: Aug. 11.

Pedero Pipe Support Systems USA was awarded a contract by Sheehan Pipe Line Construction Co. to spray foam breakers and pillows on approximately 25.7 miles of 12-in. pipeline in Wetzel County, West Virginia. Headquarters is Tridelphia, West Virginia. The superintendent is Cotton Jordan. Approximate start date: Aug. 11.

Snelson Cos. Inc. was awarded a contract by Pacific Gas & Electric Co. (PG&E) for the replacement of approximately 4,200 ft of 8-in. and 240 ft of 6-in. pipeline in San Joaquin County, California. Headquarters is in Tracy, California. The superintendent is Tony Glenn. Approximate start date: Aug. 8.

Pipeline Energy Group Inc. (d/b/a Carl Smith Pipeline) was awarded a contract by MarkWest Liberty for the installation of approximately 3.07 miles of 20-in. pipeline in Harrison County, West Virginia. Headquarters is unknown. The superintendent is Donald Smith. Approximate start date: Aug. 6.

R.L. Coolsaet Construction Co. was awarded a contract by Buckeye Pipeline Co. for the investigation of anomalies on a 12-in. pipeline in ten locations in Wayne County, Michigan. Headquarters is Romulus, Michigan. The superintendent is Bart Jeannette. Approximate start date: Aug. 5.

InfraSource LLC was awarded a contract by Ameren Illinois for the installation of approximately 1,000 ft of 6-in. pipeline in Effingham County, Illinois. Headquarters is Litchfield, Illinois. The superintendent is Brenden Green. Approximate start date: Aug. 5.

MDS Boring and Drilling Inc. was awarded a contract by Troy Construction for directional drilling on approximately 69 miles of 20-in. pipeline in LaSalle and Live Oak Counties, Texas. Headquarters is Three Rivers, Texas. The superintendent is Jody Sterling. Approximate start date: Aug. 4.

R.L. Coolsaet Construction Co. was awarded a contract by Trunkline Gas Co. for the installation of approximately 80 ft of 26-in. pipeline and the repair of sleeves in eight locations in Elkhart, Marshall and Starke Counties, Indiana. Headquarters is unknown. The superintendent is Joe Elliott.  Approximate start date: Aug. 4.

Minnesota Ltd. LLC was awarded a contract by Vectren for the relocation of approximately 6,500 ft of 16-in. pipeline in Monroe County, Indiana. Headquarters is Evansville, Indiana. The superintendent is Greg Frazier. Approximate start date: Aug. 4.

Appalachian Pipeline Contractors LLP was awarded a contract by Northern Natural Gas for the testing and requalification of approximately 2 miles of 20-in. pipeline in Dubuque County, Iowa. Headquarters is unknown. The superintendent is Tommy Warren. Approximate start date: Aug. 1.

InterCon Construction Inc. was awarded a contract by Minnesota Limited LLC for the installation of approximately 1,800 ft of 24-in. pipeline via horizontal directional drilling in Greene County, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is John Jones. Approximate start date: Aug. 1.

Indianhead Pipeline Services LLC was awarded a contract by Precision Pipeline LLC for the concrete coating of approximately 3,000 ft of 16-in. pipe in Erie County, New York. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is Joe Howard. Approximate start date: July 31.

Pedero Pipe Support Systems USA was awarded a contract by Price Gregory International Inc. to spray foam breakers and pillows on approximately 17 miles of 30-in. pipeline in Washington County, Pennsylvania. Appalachian Pipeline Contractors LLP was awarded a contract by Piedmont Natural Gas for the installation of approximately 724 ft of 8-in. and 429 ft of 2-in. pipeline via horizontal directional drilling in Mitchell County, North Carolina. Headquarters is unknown. The superintendent is Joe Strange. Approximate start date: July 28.

Indianhead Pipeline Services LLC was awarded a contract by Sheehan Pipe Line Construction Co. for the concrete coating of approximately 320 ft of 36-in. pipe in Lake County, Indiana. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is Joe Howard. Approximate start date: July 28.

Minnesota Limited LLC was awarded a contract by Rice Energy for the installation of approximately 7.4 miles of 18-in. and 7.4 miles of 16-in. pipeline in Belmont County, Ohio. Headquarters is to be determined. The superintendent is Tim Dunn. Approximate start date: July 28.

Minnesota Limited LLC was awarded a contract by Vectren for integrity management work including removal and
replacement of existing station piping and the installation of a heater in Clay County, Indiana. Headquarters is Center Point, Indiana. The superintendent is Paul Lee. Approximate start date: July 28.

Northern Clearing Inc. was awarded a contract by U.S. Pipeline Inc. for the clearing of approximately 5.5 miles of 12-in. and 1.5 miles of 6-in. pipeline right of way in Marquette County, Michigan. Headquarters is Marquette, Michigan. The superintendent is Duanne Kmieciak. Approximate start date: July 28.

Apex Pipeline Services Inc. was awarded a contract by Eureka Hunter for the installation and testing of approximately 8 miles of 16-in. pipeline in Ritchie County, West Virginia. Headquarters is Ellenboro, West Virginia. The superintendent is Dana Keaton. Approximate start date: July 25.

Minnesota Limited LLC was awarded a contract by Vectren for integrity management work including the take-up
and re-lay of 600 ft of 10-in. pipeline in Vigo County, Indiana. Headquarters is Terre Haute, Indiana. The superintendent is Tom Alexander. Approximate start date: July 25.

Minnesota Limited LLC was awarded two contracts by EQT as follows: 1) for the installation of approximately 2,700 ft of 12-in. and 3, 700 ft of 6-in. pipeline in Butler County, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is Butler, Pennsylvania. The superintendent is Gary Hawk; and 2) for the installation of approximately 18,500 ft of 24-in. pipeline, a launcher, receiver and station work in Greene County, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is Gary Hawk. Approximate start dates: July 23.

Minnesota Limited LLC was awarded a contract by Vectren for integrity management work including replacement of station piping and valves in Hendricks County, Indiana. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is Matt Austin. Approximate start date: July 21.

Pe Ben USA Inc. was awarded a contract by Rockford Corp. for the hauling of approximately 8,400 ft of 30-in. pipe from Dauphin County, Pennsylvania to Frederick County, Maryland. Headquarters is Myersville, Maryland. The superintendent is Gregory Michel. Approximate start date: July 21.

Sheehan Pipe Line Construction Co. was awarded a contract by Mark West Energy Partners LP for the installation of approximately 25.7 miles of 12-in. pipeline in Marshall and Wetzel County, West Virginia. Headquarters is Triadelphia, West Virginia. The superintendent is Thelbert Barnes. Approximate start date: July 21.

Laney Directional Drilling Co. was awarded a contract by Strike/Enterprise Seaway 7 Crude Pipe Line for the installation of approximately 680 ft of 30-in. pipeline via horizontal directional drilling in Jefferson County, Texas. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is Charlie Evans. Approximate start date: July 18.

Laney Directional Drilling Co. was awarded a contract by U.S. Pipeline/Suncor Rocky Mountain Crude System Pipeline for the installation of approximately 5.45 miles of 16-in. and 1,885 ft of 10-in. pipeline via directional drilling in Adams County, Colorado. InfraSource LLC was awarded a contract by Washington Gas for the replacement and hydrostatic testing of approximately 20 miles of 20-in. pipeline including the installation of two 12-in. bottom out stoppers, two 12-in. tie-ins and one 20-in. mainline valve in Warren County, Virginia. Headquarters is Front Royal, Virginia. The superintendent is Billy Walker. Approximate start date: July 17.

Phillips & Jordan Inc. was awarded a contract by Rockford Corp. for the clearing and grubbing of approximately 2.33 miles of 16-in. and 1.56 miles of 10-in. pipeline right of way in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is Montrose, Pennsylvania. The superintendent is Tommy Stewart. Approximate start date: July 16.

Indianhead Pipeline Services LLC was awarded a contract by Enbridge Energy to construct pipe yards in Cass and Hubbard counties, Minnesota, and Grand Forks and Mountrail counties, North Dakota. Headquarters are on the jobsites. The superintendent is Randy Rubenzer. Approximate start date: July 15.
