North American Pipeline Project Roundup
The following oil and gas pipeline projects have been announced. Projects are in order of most recent approximate starting date. All projects are for 2014 unless noted.
Sheehan Pipe Line Construction Co. was awarded a contract by Enbridge Energy LP for the installation of approximately 3,300 ft of 36-in. pipeline, one railroad bore and one road bore in Lake County, Ind. Headquarters is Griffith, Ind. The superintendent is Bryant “Tubby” Long. Approximate start date: Feb. 24.
Dun Transportation and Stringing Inc. was awarded a contract by Evraz/Enbridge for the offloading and stockpiling of approximately 185 miles of 24-in. pipe in Christian and Woodford counties, Ill. Headquarters is the pipe yard. The superintendent is Dane Hilsabeck. Approximate start date: Feb. 20.
Welded Construction LP was awarded a contract by Blue Racer Midstream LLC for the installation of approximately 7 miles of 16-in. and approximately 7 miles of 6-in. pipeline in Noble County, Ohio. Headquarters is Cambridge, Ohio. The superintendent is Kevin Ekleberry. Approximate start date: Feb. 17.
Pe Ben USA Inc. was awarded a contract by Boardwalk Pipeline Partners for unloading, hauling and stockpiling approximately 78 miles of 24- and 30-in. pipe in George and Perry counties, Miss. Headquarters are Lucedale and New Augusta, Miss. The superintendent is Gregory Michel. Approximate start date: Feb. 17.
Indianhead Pipeline Services LLC was awarded a contract by Price Gregory International Inc. to provide bag weights on approximately 48 miles of 36-in. pipeline for the TransCanada Houston Lateral Project in Liberty County, Texas. Headquarters is to be determined. The superintendent is to be determined. Approximate start date: Feb. 10.
Rodenberg Diversified LLC was awarded a contract by Antero Resources Corp. for the installation of approximately 1,386 ft of 12-in. pipeline in Doddridge County, W.Va. Headquarters is Clarksburg, W.Va. The superintendent is Ranger Dorris. Approximate start date: Feb. 3.
Welded Construction LP was awarded a contract by NFG Midstream Clermont LLC for the installation of approximately 4,300 ft of 8-in. pipeline, 37,552 ft of 12-in. pipeline, 4,600 ft of 20-in. pipeline and 51,500 ft of 24-in. pipeline on the Clermont Pipeline project in McKean and Elk counties, Pa. Headquarters is Port Allegheny, Pa. The superintendent is Joe Carter. Approximate start date: Feb. 4.
W.A. Rasic Construction Co. Inc. was awarded a contract by Los Angeles County Sanitation District to relocate approximately 104 ft of 10-in. diameter DESC jet fuel pipeline; the relocation of five oil/gasoline/jet fuel lines (Shell, Tesoro and Vopak), including the protection of an existing Praxair nitrogen line and cutting and capping idle 6-in. Paramount Oil and BP lines; and the relocation of a 12-in. Kinder Morgan firewater line, including the removal of interfering portions, and reinstalling the line after sewer construction was completed at the Kinder Morgan Carson Terminal in Carson, Calif. Headquarters is Long Beach, Calif. The project manager is John Solis. Approximate start date: Feb. 3.
W.A. Rasic Construction Co. Inc. was awarded a contract with Kinder Morgan Energy Partners to perform positive substructure identification to relocate several terminal fire hydrants and the demolition of an existing fuel station including the removal of fuel and electrical lines to provide room for a future groundwater treatment processing plant in Las Vegas, Nev. Headquarters is Long Beach, Calif. The project manager is Marcelino Corrales. Approximate start date: Jan. 27.
W.A. Rasic Construction Co. Inc. was awarded a contract by Kinder Morgan Energy Partners. The work involves the removal and disposal of approximately 1,070 ft of 10-in. pipe; the removal and disposal of approximately 1,155 ft of 16-in. pipe; the abandonment of approximately 670 ft of 16-in. pipe; the installation of approximately 1,910 ft of 16-in. pipe; and 150 ft of 24-in. jack and bore requiring engineered shoring to depths of 35 ft. The project was located along the Orange County Transportation Authority/ Metrolink Rail Road in Irvine, Calif. Headquarters is Long Beach, Calif. The general foreman is Brad Tison. Approximate start date: Jan. 20.
W.A. Rasic Construction Co. Inc. was awarded a contract by Kinder Morgan Energy Partners. The project covers upgrading seismic requirements on an existing pipe way starting at the Kinder Morgan Terminal, through the Phillips 66 Terminal and ending at dock bay. Upgrades include structural modifications to an existing pipeway, as well as additional concrete pads and micro piling in Richmond, Calif. Headquarters is Long Beach, Calif. The project manager is John Solis. Approximate start date: Jan. 13.
W.A. Rasic Construction Co. Inc. was awarded a contract by Plains All American Pipeline to complete 40 anomaly repairs on a 16-in. product pipeline, which includes full cutouts, welding of sleeves and recoating at various locations in Los Angeles, Calif. Headquarters is Long Beach, Calif. The project manager is John Solis. Approximate start date: Jan. 6.
W.A. Rasic Construction Co. Inc. was awarded a contract by Kinder Morgan Energy Partners for the installation of two additive pumps, 12 injector blocks, control wiring and associated piping and tubing in San Jose, Calif. Headquarters is Long Beach, Calif. The project manager is Marcelino Corrales. Approximate start date: Jan. 2.
