Hosted at the Embassy Suites The Woodlands/Hughes Landing, the Eighth Annual Pipeline Leadership Conference will highlight “Energy Transition: Perceptions, Realities and Opportunities.”
The two-day event will focus on how the pipeline industry can adapt to the global trend of “decarbonizing” the energy grid and how companies can enhance their business for the future. Amid politics and policies, pipelines remain the safest and most efficient method of transporting energy, whether it’s oil and natural gas or renewable sources, such as hydrogen, carbon dioxide and renewable natural gas.
The conference kicks off with a keynote address by Charles McConnell on the “North American Energy Transition: Pandering to Politicians?” McConnell is the executive director for the Center for Carbon Management in Energy at the University of Houston. His presentation will discuss how the energy transition will transform markets and consumption, as well as how the passage of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) and Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) will impact the future of the industry.
The Pipeline Leadership Conference will include engaging panel discussions on politics and policy; diversity, equity and inclusion; opportunities in the energy transition related to hydrogen, renewable natural gas (RNG) and carbon capture pipelines.
