North American Pipeline Project Roundup
The following oil and gas pipeline projects have been announced. Projects are in order of most recent approximate starting date. All projects are for 2015 unless noted.
Laney Directional Drilling Co. was awarded a contract by Rockford Corp. to install approximately 4.03 miles of 36-in. pipeline via horizontal directional drilling in Austin, Brazoria, Fort Bend, Harris and Waller counties, Texas. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is T.J. Strickland. Approximate start date: Feb. 2.
Sheehan Pipe Line Construction Co. was awarded a contract by Spectra Energy Partners for tree felling services on approximately 46.85 miles of right of way in Belmont, Jefferson and Monroe counties, Ohio. Headquarters is Benwood, West Virginia. The superintendent is Joe Parrish. Approximate start date: Feb. 2.
T.G. Mercer Consulting Services Inc. was awarded a contract by ETC for the offloading and racking of approximately 206 miles of 42-in. pipe in Livingston County, Michigan. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is Luke Park. Approximate start date: Feb. 1.
BigInch Fabricators and Construction Inc. was awarded a contract by Trunkline for the excavation of approximately 1 mile of 26-, 30- and 36-in. pipeline in Hancock County, Illinois. Headquarters is Hamilton, Illinois. The superintendent is Mike Utley. Approximate start date: Jan. 30.
Pedero Pipe Support Systems USA was awarded a contract by Otis Eastern Service Inc. to provide spray foam breakers and pillows on approximately 6.91 miles of 16- and 18-in. pipeline in Belmont County, Ohio. Headquarters is Belmont, Ohio. The superintendent is Raul Rivera. Approximate start date: Jan. 27.
Henkels & McCoy Inc. was awarded a contract by Williams Transco to install approximately 13.41 miles of 42-in. pipeline in Hunterdon, Mercer and Somerset counties, New Jersey. Headquarters is Neshanic, New Jersey. The superintendent is Scott Schoenherr. Approximate start date: Jan. 26.
MDS Boring and Drilling Inc. was awarded a contract by Troy Construction for road boring and directional drilling on approximately 73 miles of 20-in. pipeline in Bee, Live Oak, Nueces and San Patricio counties, Texas. Headquarters is Mathis, Texas. The superintendent is Danny Sawickis. Approximate start date: Jan. 26.
Dun Transportation and Stringing Inc. was awarded a contract by Evraz/ETC for the offloading and stockpiling of approximately 61 miles of 30-in. pipe in Lincoln County, South Dakota. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is Johnny Denton. Approximate start date: Jan. 21.
MDS Boring and Drilling Inc. was awarded a contract by Rockford Corp. for road boring on approximately 88.65 miles of 36-in. pipeline in Austin, Brazoria, Fort Bend, Harris and Waller counties, Texas. Headquarters is Rosenberg, Texas. The superintendent is Mike Dobbs. Approximate start date: Jan. 21.
Indianhead Pipeline Services LLC was awarded a contract by Price Gregory International Inc. to provide spray foam services on approximately 5.6 miles of 8- and 16-in. pipeline in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Latex Construction Co. was awarded a contract by Atlanta Gas Light Resources for the retiring of approximately 28 miles of 12- to 26-in. pipelines in Clayton, DeKalb and Fulton counties, Georgia. Headquarters is Chamblee, Georgia. The superintendent is Bill Burt. Approximate start date: Jan. 20.
Dun Transportation and Stringing Inc. was awarded a contract by Evraz/Enbridge for the offloading and stockpiling of approximately 67 miles of 24-in. pipe in Mountrail County, North Dakota. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is Greg Norman. Approximate start date: Jan. 19.
MDS Boring and Drilling Inc. was awarded a contract by MPG for the road boring of approximately 23 miles of 20-in. pipeline in Jefferson County, Texas. Headquarters is Orange, Texas. The superintendent is John Sterling. Approximate start date: Jan. 19.
Northern Clearing Inc. was awarded a contract by Sheehan Pipe Line Construction Co. for the clearing of approximately 50 miles of 36-in. pipeline right of way in Belmont, Jefferson and Monroe counties, Ohio. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is Jerod Hecimovich. Approximate start date: Jan. 19.
Snelson Companies Inc. was awarded a contract by Southern California Gas Co. for the replacement of approximately 2,500 ft of 24-in. pipeline in Los Angeles County, California. Headquarters is Newhall, California. The superintendent is Greg White. Approximate start date: Jan. 19.
T.G. Mercer Consulting Services Inc. was awarded a contract by Dominion for the offloading and stockpiling of approximately 16 miles of 36-in. pipe in Brooke County, West Virginia. Headquarters is Follansbee, West Virginia. The superintendent is Luke Park. Approximate start date: Jan. 19.
Pe Ben USA Inc. was awarded a contract by Enbridge for the loading and hauling of approximately 4,600 ft of 30-in. pipe in Livingston and St. Clair counties, Michigan. Headquarters is Howell, Michigan. The superintendent is Cody Phillips. Approximate start date: Jan. 16.
T.G. Mercer Consulting Services Inc. was awarded a contract by ETC for the offloading and stockpiling of approximately 598 miles of 24-, 36- and 42-in. pipeline in Stark County, Ohio. Headquarters is Massillon, Ohio. The superintendent is Bruce Munro. Approximate start date: Jan. 13.
Apex Pipeline Services Inc. was awarded two contracts by EQT for 1) the installation of approximately 8 miles of 16-in. pipeline and 2 miles of 12-in. pipeline in Tyler County, West Virginia. Headquarters is West Union, West Virginia. The superintendent is Roman McKown; and 2) the installation of approximately 100 ft of 12-in. pipeline in Wetzel County, West Virginia. Headquarters is Jacksonburg, West Virginia. The superintendent is Roman McKown. Approximate start dates: 1) Jan. 7 and 2) Jan. 12.
Indianhead Pipeline Services LLC was awarded a contract by Precision Pipeline LLC to provide mat cleaning services for approximately 10,000 mats in Eau Claire and Jackson counties, Wisconsin. Headquarters is on the jobsite. The superintendent is Randy Rubenzer. Approximate start date: Jan. 12.

Right-of-Way Clearing & Maintenance Inc. was awarded a contract by Mid Ohio Contractors for the clearing of approximately 14,200 ft of 12-in. pipeline right of way in Greene County, Pennsylvania. Headquarters is unknown. The superintendent is Rick Brown. Approximate start date: early to mid-January (announced Jan. 12).
