Celebrate World Trenchless Day and Take the Trenchless Technology Online Quiz
At Benjamin Media — publisher of North American Oil & Gas Pipelines and Trenchless Technology magazines — we LOVE trenchless technology. We live and breathe it and are always looking for fun, creative and, most importantly, informative ways to promote our industry. But we also aspire to broaden our reach to an even wider audience, one that doesn’t know what the heck trenchless technology is — yet.
We have a fantastic idea to do just that and it involves all of you. We want to partner with the entire trenchless industry — manufacturers, contractors, engineering firms, associations, public works and magazines — to share the world of trenchless technology, reaching out those who have not yet realized the impact that trenchless methods have on their communities.
Therefore, on September 22, 2016, we will be observing the first ever World Trenchless Day — a day that we as an industry will globally unite in an effort to spread the benefits of using trenchless technology as the way to address our aging and crumbling underground infrastructure. We want all of you to join our day of trenchless celebration.
World Trenchless Day will be a global celebration (commemorated on the fourth Thursday of September each year) that will shine a spotlight on all of trenchless’ benefits — safety, economics, environmental, social. We invite the industry to use social media, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube, to help raise the awareness around the globe that trenchless technology is the premier conduit in revitalizing and upgrading our underground infrastructure that in most places is well over 100 years old.
“As an industry, we know the benefits of using trenchless techniques and technologies to upgrade our underground infrastructure, but there are those who are not as entrenched in the trenchless industry. We want to reach them. World Trenchless Day is a way for the entire industry to showcase to the world what we do best — fixing our underground infrastructure using environmentally friendly, minimally invasive methods,” says Benjamin Media president Rob Krzys.
The impact that the use of trenchless methods has on communities, the economy and quality of life is immense and will only continue to grow as municipalities and utilities realize and understand their benefits vs. traditional methods.
On Sept. 22 Trenchless Technology is putting the industry’s knowledge to the test with a fun online quiz on all things trenchless.
We realize a trenchless technology quiz is fun in and of itself, but to sweeten the deal we’re giving away cash and one grand prize – full conference registration including travel and hotel – to a 2017 Benjamin Media conference of your choice.
Here are some of the particulars:
- There are four chances to win cash prizes throughout the day. A set of questions will be released on TrenchlessOnline.com at 9 a.m. EDT, 11 a.m. EDT, 1 p.m. EDT and 3 p.m. EDT. The first one to answer all questions correctly in each respective set of questions will be awarded a $100 VISA gift card. A second $100 VISA gift card winner will be randomly chosen from the remainder of submitted correct answers for each set. Two winners per set of questions.
- To be entered into the drawing for the overall prize — a full conference registration to a Benjamin Media conference of your choice — you must answer all four sets of questions correctly.
- Each Set of questions will end at the release of the next set of questions. At 5 P.M. EDT, the four sets will be released for one hour for anyone who missed the earlier groups of questions.
- All you need is your name and email address to enter.
We realize there is a broad spectrum of available questions so here’s a helpful hint. The four categories are Trenchless Technology’s 25th Anniversary, New Installation, Rehab and HDD. So crack your books or even better your back issues of Trenchless Technology to get a head start on the competition. Try not to Google the answers!
