Brazos Midstream, Old Ironsides Energy Pursuing Midstream Investments
Brazos Midstream Holdings and Old Ironsides Energy, an independent oil and gas investment manager, have partnered to pursue the acquisition and development of midstream assets in the United States.
Brazos, the newly-formed midstream company, is led by a management team with experience across all commodities and throughout a variety of onshore U.S. basins and will initially focus on the development of crude and natural gas gathering, treating and processing assets. CEO Brad Iles; CFO William Butler; chief commercial officer Stephen Luskey; and COO Ryan Jaggi formed and manage Fort Worth-based Brazos.
“I couldn’t be more pleased with the team that we have assembled at Brazos Midstream. Each individual brings a diverse and complementary skill set that sets Brazos apart. With both upstream and midstream management experience, the Brazos team is committed to delivering the highest-level of personalized service to our producer customers.” Iles said. “We are proud to partner with Old Ironsides in the creation of Brazos Midstream. Old Ironsides’ management has significant experience in the oil and gas industry and has developed a reputation for being a preferred equity provider. ”
Prior to Brazos’ formation, Iles served as senior vice president of business development for EnLink Midstream Partners, formerly Crosstex Energy. Iles led all of EnLink’s business development efforts for both the natural gas and liquids business units. Butler joins the Brazos team having previously served as CFO of Athlon Energy Inc. until the company was acquired by EnCana Corporation in November 2014.
Luskey most recently served as regional vice president for EnLink Midstream and was responsible for Permian business development activity including the development of EnLink’s Midland Basin platform. Having worked in both the upstream and midstream sectors, Jaggi’s energy experience includes the engineering, project management, and operations of all wellhead, gas gathering, treating, processing, and liquid handling facilities. Prior to founding Brazos, Jaggi served as vice president of engineering for Wildcat Midstream.
“This partnership combines our proven history of oil and gas investing in North America with a first-class team of executives that have a strong track record of success in the energy industry,” said Sean O’Neill, a managing partner at Old Ironsides Energy. “Our investment strategy centers on aligning ourselves with chosen partners like Brazos for the long term.”
