Bowman Consulting Hires Natural Gas Industry Veteran Palombo
Natural gas industry veteran Ed Palombo has joined multidiscipline design firm Bowman Consulting at its Pittsburgh office. As senior vice president, he will help lead the firm’s continuing strategic expansion of its natural gas services platform.
Palombo brings more than 30 years of engineering and operations experience in the natural gas industry, having directed the activities of engineering staffs and field operations in design, construction and maintenance for distribution and transmission, storage and gathering systems all over the region.
“Ed is one of the top national experts in the oil and gas industry,” said CEO Gary Bowman. “He has been at the forefront of the evolving energy industry, and we are excited for him to bring his perspective, talent and expertise to Bowman Consulting and its clients.”
Palombo said he looks forward to adding to Bowman Consulting’s “already deep knowledge and service” in the Marcellus and Utica shale plays.

Most recently, Palombo led the asset engineering and operations technology initiatives for Peoples Natural Gas, Peoples TWP (formerly Phillips Gas) and Peoples EGC (formerly Equitable Gas), and was responsible for the engineering, planning and project management of capital infrastructure programs. In addition to his engineering and operations experience, Palombo also led the integrity management programs for distribution and transmission, and he has an extensive background in GIS and integrating technology applications across operations and engineering processes.
