Benjamin Ploederl Promoted at Michels Pipeline Construction
Benjamin Ploederl is the new general manager of estimating and project controls for Michels Pipeline Construction. Michels Corporation announced the promotion Sept. 8.
Ploederl began working for Michels in 2005 as a project manager for road construction operations. He has advanced to represent the company in several large-scale joint ventures.
In 2008 and again in 2012 he served as project director for joint ventures on some of the most significant pipeline work within the U.S., and in 2010, he led the massive Mitchell Interchange highway reconstruction project in Milwaukee.
“Ben has proven to be very capable of leading large projects and executing complex plans with great efficiency,” said Bob Osborn, senior vice president of Michels Pipeline Construction. “Those skills coupled with his ability to engage all stakeholders to work toward a common goal make him a great fit for this role.”
Ploederl looks forward to continuing to meet the needs of the Michels Pipeline Construction team and clients, as well as focusing on continuous advancement of estimating and project control processes and procedures for Michels.
“Michels has afforded me the opportunity to work with the industry elite not only within Michels, but from outside as well,” Ploederl said. “Gratefully, the occasion is here for me to use those invaluable experiences and help preserve and shape Michels’ excellence within our always demanding and evolving industry.”
