As contractors face tighter demands to build pipelines faster, safer and more efficiently, padding machines provide a solution that has become the standard way to backfill trenches. Padders sift dirt to remove debris that would otherwise be dumped back onto a buried pipeline and could damage the pipe wall. Instead the sifted dirt is backfilled under, around and over a pipeline to protect the coating from being scraped or dented, which reduces corrosion and improves longevity of the pipe.
When a pipeline project is complete, equipment such as hydroseeders, hydromulchers, straw blowers and other restoration machines turn a battered right of way into a scenic landscape. This specialized equipment quickly and efficiently reseeds the ground to allow new vegetation to return to the project site.
